May start posting on here again, twitter is just, the worst place for art right now, I don’t have anything to post other than cat pictures because I’ve been in like the biggest art rut so, hopefully I get motivated to draw soon

I was on a call with some friends when I caught him looking at me like this, I don’t remember what I was talking about though

He likes to hide, but he’s so bad at it, he hides in the bucket, butt sticks out, hides in tunnel, butt sticks out, under the couch? You know his butt’s gonna stick out

I haven’t drawn at all while on vacation, I bought coloring books and colored in those instead, ahh

I was on vacation so I didn’t have any new Remy pics to post but I got him a new bucket so he can climb in it and he’s been enjoying it

I’ve actually started drawing again, but I’m as slow as usual so don’t expect anything too soon, keep getting distracted by the hyper fixations and cleaning surprisingly enough. I can never get myself to clean and now I am. Wow

Just thinking about weird internet rabbit holes is fun to be honest cause I also got really into psa videos around that time

Opal_The_Octo @opaltheocto.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

Reflecting on stuff is weird sometimes, like, I’m thinking back on 2020-2021 and remembered that I got really hyper fixated on world war 2 propaganda cartoons (from America) thank god I was in school and in the holocaust unit so I had somewhere to put all that research into

Honestly, remove twitter from your phone, just to take away the temptation, we all know that twitter is monetizing the shit off of this. I keep getting ads for political merch. I know twitter is important for somethings, so just remove the app off your phone

Mute words on here and on other platforms, like president and elon and stuff like that to keep your timeline clean, and try to get the algorithm to cater to nice things, like art. Keep the doomscrolling to a minimum right now

Take some time during these next few weeks to take care of yourselves, eat what you like, play your favorite games, cuddle with your pets. Do something that makes you happy and relaxed, we can't fix things if we're too tired to

I guess what I'm trying to say is that no one is alone in this feeling right now, and I want anyone feeling the same way I do to know that while yes, things aren't looking good, we're all in this together, and I hope that everything will be ok.

Opal_The_Octo @opaltheocto.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

I don't really want to talk politics or anything, especially on here now that I've moved, I wanna try to keep this account and my feed positive because that's what I need right now. But I don't want to lie and say that I'm fine, when I'm actually really scared right now

Dude I’m way too good at procrastinating that instead of drawing mizuki I started working on my d&d character that I’ve been procrastinating on

Think I’m gonna try and experiment with my next art piece though, so it may look different than what I usually do, then again I haven’t posted my older pieces so it’s not like you’ll know lmao
