it's ya boy, coming to you live with a word of warning about someone my friends and i have recently interacted with that after recent events has warranted this like.... "callout/not callout post". timing is not accurate but yeah. doing this does not bring me joy. alt text included.

My friends and I welcomed a user by the name of Echo/StarsofEcho into our friend server about a month ago after I spent some time playing with them in ffxiv. Shortly after, we began to notice a few things that Echo would do, such as excess fantaing, name changes and data center travel. I'm not one to judge someone's spending on the game but sometimes too much is too much. At one point, they moved to Primal where I often hang out and I offered Echo like 3.3 mil gil to get a house. They play on the Switch 2 and while idk how that works as far as extra things, it felt very excessive overall. (4 fantas in 2 days is insane work, even by a pc player's standards.)

They won the house, built it then maybe a week later moved data centers.

Fast forward to this past week: I have found out Echo did the same shit to someone else here on bsky and it makes me wonder how often they did it to other people in other servers and fc as i remember them telling me about being kicked from an fc for "being too active".

From what I've heard from the other person, Echo has moved to twitter and left mass of the ffxiv community servers they were in and pretty much dropped all the friends they've made recently because their friends weren't playing Pokémon.

When approached by friends about their behavior in concern, Echo would act like they were being ganged up on when that was in fact, not the case. Mass of the people I personally keep around are typically very caring people as is myself (i would think anyway) so the overall goal of this is to warn everyone.

Echo, if this happens to get on your radar, please seek professional help. Not everyone is out to get you and not everyone will agree with the things you like and as the adult you now are, you need to learn to be critical of the things you like and also learn to interact with others if you plan to make friends. Your actions have consequences and I hope you eventually learn this.
