never judge a book by its cover. in this case, I foolishly expected it to have improved contents to match

Started piecing together the existing dialogue for Magical Mundanity and man I feel way better about this script now that I can hear the characters. It's amazing how these things click together... directing the voice actors has been so fun too, they're absolutely amazing

last night I dug through ancient dms to see if I could find old magical mundanity art from 2019 I hadn't already kept in my gallery. I did manage to find a little bit. I am so very relieved that I never did anything with this project until now... here is the one old doodle I feel like sharing

even funnier is I specifically started a new playthrough of Breath of the Wild earlier than I normally would cus I've been itching to play something with her and that's our favorite to go through. and then she got this right smack in the middle of botw. she won't let me play it till I'm done...

I'm gonna cut off my rambling here... I've been typing too long and this probably is super incoherent but if you've read this far I assume you like reading my brain soup so thank you for bearing with me. I will figure out what I'm doing. I'll probably be kind of a bitch about it but it'll work out

I do think I'm getting better, though? I've been fairly consistently productive since July, but I have yet to match my pace to my expectations. The MM script was meant to be done within a month, and I'm *still* doing last minute revisions before I get VA recording started this weekend...

I'm anxious about committing effort to stuff that isn't the main project plan but it's that or scramble for random unrelated video ideas every month... generally I just need a much, much better work ethic than I currently have. That's way harder than it should be... it's a bit embarrassing honestly

Whether or not the pilot does well I'll still have the same dilemma of maintaining interest between eps. My wife recommended I make shorts fairly regularly as "filler" episodes and I think that'll be both the necessary approach to keep a pulse and also will help round out the chars/world.

The amount of time UCFT took to finish unfortunately killed its momentum irreparably, and I cannot afford to keep having rocky production like that again. FNaF's built in fandom is able to salvage my production hell some, but that's a luxury I won't have with an original project.

And beyond the pilot I'm terrified of being eaten alive by the project since my ambitions for it far surpass what I feel like I can *actually* do right now. I'm just hoping that I can step up to my own challenge... it's going to be a lot harder than UCFT was, and I'm going to need a better pace too

In general I'm having a LOT of anxiety regarding Magical Mundanity's production. I've made it farther with this project now than I ever could've dreamed of, but it still feels so intangible and impossible all the same. I'm terrified that I'm going to fumble this, I'm so so scared of screwing it up

I'm not sure if that makes sense but basically I'm thinking maybe I should make a pool of drawings to reuse if I have repeat shot angles. And then I can modify them depending on the expression or poses? But maybe that'd just be more tedious than drawing unique shots every time I need one.
