A panel from Go Nagai's autobiographical manga: Gekiman! He has drawn himself as a chibi and is punching himself in the head.

His speech bubbles read: No, no. I'm just getting wild ideas about the future. Devilman is just a manga! It's not a prediction!

COME TO ACEN ON MAY 16 AT 10 PM IF YOU WANT AN ASS KICKING

A screenshot of my panel for ACEN that reads: In 1972, Go Nagai's Devilman hit the manga scene like a meteor and changed the courses of shounen, seinen, and Japanese dark fantasy forever. But, most English-speaking anime fans have only seen the mark it left on the industry through various genre-defining titles like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Berserk and Madoka Magica.
Join us and taste the fruit of knowledge as we break down how Devilman influenced countless
classics and continues to inspire hit works today.
(No prior knowledge of Devilman required.)
