I had to use the stepstool for something, which Jules thinks is a demon, but he wouldn't go back in his cage, so oh well, guess he has to deal with being in the same airspace. Instead he yelled "You're a chicken!" before flying away to a far perch. Goofy bird pretty much got the context right.

Apparently some ravens think the tree outside my window is an amazing stick producer. I don't know if they're making tools with said sticks (the first time it was a forked stick) or just need the perfect stick for a nest, but this is the second time I've seen them. Also ravens are huge.

It looks like I never posted any final pics of that goldfish #plush I made like 2 years ago or something. Been thinking I should go back and revisit the pattern and make some cute little guys. I definitely need to rework the mouth area for future ones, but for attempt 1 he's great.

I just had a silly idea for business card holders for my con table. Sketches Soon™️. I'll need to figure out where to get resin printing done locally and I need to decide just how fragile I'd build it. I should probably go chunky style to prevent breakage but that's not as fun.

I did another Secret Santa art trade event thing! This time I got @protogems.bsky.social and did this of their character Odette. Had quite a few false starts along the way but I'm pretty happy with the fact I got to do some detailed line art & actually tried out some cel shading again. #VGCupid26

One of the things I always wished I could find was a brush that would feel like a mechanical pencil where you wore the tip of the lead to an angle. The drawing there kind of gives me those vibes. Like if the precise lines & smooth shading are all in one thing, gotta try that one out!

The more I work on this model, the more it looks nice and it makes me want to polish it to look like it really could have been ripped from Finding Nemo or something. Retopo done, now on to rough color in Substance Painter. I was thinking about trying 3dCoat for some hand painting. #3dArt #WIP #fish

I'm still around, just been busy! Really happy with how this sculpt turned out, finished this past weekend. Character belongs to @sp11ca.bsky.social. Primarily done in Zbrush but the hair and small accessories were done in Blender, and I tried out a new hair plugin. #VGCupid2025 #VGCupid25 #3dArt

3d sculpt that appears to be sort of a collectible figure of an anime-ish girl who is waving. She's very bright and colorful, mostly pastel, wearing a jacket off one shoulder, a cropped tee beneath, and a miniskirt. One leg has legwarmers, the other is covered in bright tattoos. She has purple-grey hair and lots of hairclips of varying colors. The stand for the figure is three stars sweeping up, which she is standing on.

Same character as previous, close up at a slightly different angle. It's obvious she has one normal eye and one that's star shaped.

Yup. Microsoft automatically switched me to the $99.99/year version with Spicy Autocomplete. You have to go all the way through "cancel subscription" to be presented these options and get the $69.99/year one you actually chose.

A 3d render of a not-quite-human lady who is blowing the viewer a kiss.. She has deer-ish ears and a kind of catlike nose. She appears to have glowing blue floating antlers above her head. She's orange/red themed as far as her skin and hair goes, but her outfit is blue.

They don't put "parrot damage" in the list of problems you might have with your African violet. Jules then flew back for a second bite while I sent that image to a friend. Sigh. #parrots #plants

Finished up my entry for the Reallusion 3d Character contest thingy. Not sure what its normal hashtag would be because that name is stupid long. Anyhoo, posted the full thing on my ArtStation as required, enjoy some highlights here:

3d render, full body. Some kinda deer-human lady, mostly human, but has unusual ears. She's orangey with red hair and has speckles across her face. Her clothes are obviously fantasy, shades of teal, and with stripe and leaf motifs. She has floaty glowy antlers.
