![SHINee’s ONEW and singer Yuju showcase their vocal synergy by expressing the emotions of a couple in a precarious romantic relationship through this R&B duet.
On the 29th at 6:00 PM/KST, ONEW will release “Mind Games,” the first title track from his single album 𝘿𝙚𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣, across streaming platforms.
“Mind Games” is a song about the complex relationship between a couple who hurt each other because pride and power struggles take precedence over love, yet still can’t seem to let each other go. It captures the emotional clashes and subtle tension through a deep R&B sound.
The minimalist arrangement driven solely by vocals and acoustic guitar brings the speakers’ emotions into sharp focus. ONEW’s mellifluous voice and YUJU’s refreshing tone vividly paint the complex emotions within a push-and-pull dynamic. ONEW also contributed in writing the lyrics.
A documentary video capturing the recording session was also released. Speaking about YUJU’s vocals, ONEW said, “The word ‘refreshing’ suits her perfectly, and I feel when combined with mine, it creates great synergy.” He added, “Since it’s an R&B-based song, I thought it would be a great chance to showcase another side of YUJU.”
YUJU shared her thoughts on the collaboration, saying, “When practicing my parts, I treated them as lines of dialogue [rather than just lyrics]. I wanted listeners to feel as if [they] were [listening to us] have a conversation.” She continued, “ONEW-sunbae kept bringing out aspects of my vocals I hadn't explored before, making that back-and-forth dynamic really fun.”
She added, “I hope this song makes listeners realize, ‘So these two artists have this dark and charming side too?’”
𝘿𝙚𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 is ONEW’s first single album in about seven months since the release of his fifth mini-album TOUGH LOVE in March. Having demonstrated his capabilities as both an artist and producer in his previous work, ONEW embarks on new musical ventures through this album’s triple title tracks.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:d4t6ayqwv7k7cb4eibaralpu/bafkreifsaya5m5h7zcm6jqzvv47y7fxsdj4gre6rrqlo34kgqpli7cqfyi)

![Hello, this is GRIFFIN Entertainment.
We’ve confirmed that ticket refunds for some fans have not yet been completed following the cancellation of the '2024 ONEW FANMEETING <GUESS!> IN KUALA LUMPUR'.
At the time, GRIFFIN Entertainment entrusted management of the Asia tour to the agency Power Casting (including any relation to the artist's appearances), while the overall planning and operation of the Asia tour was handled by Faith & D Entertainment (hereinafter Faith & D). Specifically, the Malaysia performance was organized by Faith & D under a contract with the local promoter MND Sport & Event Sdn Bhd (hereinafter “MND”), and MND was also responsible for collecting ticket sales proceeds and processing refunds.
The concert was unilaterally canceled due to circumstances on the part of the local promoter, MND. Following the cancellation, our agency and Power Casting, along with our contracting party Faith & D, have continuously requested that MND process the refunds as promised so they could be completed properly. Despite this, the refund process has not finished according to the schedule originally announced, and we have now reached a point where even normal communication with MND has become difficult.
Although the contractual structure prevents our agency or Power Casting from directly processing these refunds ourselves, we continue to make all efforts to resolve this issue through all available means out of consideration for the fans who have endured this inconvenience for a long time. Faith & D is currently pursuing legal proceedings against MND, and [GRIFFIN] is also reviewing additional legal measures available to take to resolve this matter.
Recognizing the gravity of the ongoing inconvenience to our fans, we are currently considering plans to offer ticket discounts for future ONEW concerts in Malaysia for those verified to have not yet received their refunds.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:d4t6ayqwv7k7cb4eibaralpu/bafkreiagdrtm7qgxxmdovvyvatejkcegc7egqbubmp35hxrjmvz3aae7hy)
