You should see this screen and if you click the blue Start link your camera should open. Then you just point the camera at that page of your passport. It should pick it up on its own if you align it right.

We explain the info stored on our /verify page (attached as an image below). The reason a passport is needed is because there is no other way to reliably verify two things: * that someone is a real person * that this person unique If you have ideas of other ways to verify we'd love to hear them!
