chapter fourteen is now live! 🔗 archiveofourown.org/works/642355... 🏷️ #therookie #timbradford #lucychen #chenford a small preview of the chapter is below :)

A screenshot of the introduction to chapter 14 of a ‘The Rookie’ fanfic titled ‘our insignificance in nature’:

Lucy spent her whole childhood around therapists. Listening to them talk techniques with her parents at the dinner table, spending time at their kids' birthday parties, forced into sessions of her own just to check all the gears in her head were spinning as they should-surface-level interactions, really. They were always just... around. A familiar presence. So, therapy became a box to tick off, another activity that slotted into her schedule like homework and extra Spanish lessons, rather than something she really needed. It was never uncomfortable for her, because she just didn't know any different.
And then she was kidnapped by Caleb.

s7 was written with the plan that there wouldn’t be a week break in airing + 713 was filmed as the april fools episode. so, when they had the week break between 708-709, it meant the april fools ep would air on april 8th so they’ve swapped 712 and 713 - 713 is airing april 1st, and 712 on april 8th
