Flashbacks can be effective of course but the way they spam them in that show is like jingling keys for a baby. It's like tiktokifying a character arc. You see heres a clip of him saying he'll be the best 3 seasons ago. Flash forward to the present where he's the best. Arc finished.

I tried watching MHA as a teen but couldn't get past the 2nd season because of how much they explained what was currently going on and how many flashbacks there were. Saw a clip just now of one of the last episodes and it's a big climactic fight that's interrupted by 17 seconds of straight flashback
