Did you know that #InjuredWorkers lose their wage loss benefits at age 65 even if they planned to work longer? Did you know that they lose their pension contributions for the entire time that they are unable to work? If a work injury leaves you unable to work for life, that should not mean poverty.

We have some questions for the #WSIB and Minister of Labour. Help us deliver them this Monday. Toronto rally at Ministry of Labour at 400 University.
Thunder Bay rally at MPP Lise Vaugeois office, 2727 Park Street
An old fashioned paper scroll has the following list, labelled the 12 whys of Workplace Safety and Insurance Board Christmas.

1. What does WSIB hand over billions to our bosses while injured workers live in poverty?
2. Why are migrant workers kicked out of the country and cut off benefits when they are hurt?
3. Why can WSIB pretend I’m employed when I can’t find a job, and take my benefits away?
4. Why can WSIB get away with creating so much stress and mental health problems for injured workers?
5. Why are employers able to get away with breaking the law by lying, hiding, and suppressing our claims?
6. Why are taxpayers shouldering the burden when injured workers have been denied or deemed by the WSIB?
7. Why do WSIB benefits expire at age 65, even though we know many workers in Ontario have to work beyond that age?
8. Why is WSIB putting the burden of work injury so heavily on families? Why are they stealing Christmas from our kids?

And four more questions.

We've got a lot of questions to ask about the WSIB this holiday season. Join us Monday at 11am to help us deliver The 12 "Whys" of WSIB Christmas. Toronto • Ministry of Labour • 400 University.
Thunder • MPP Lise Vaugeois office • 2727 Park Street
An old fashioned paper scroll has the following list, labelled the 12 whys of Workplace Safety and Insurance Board Christmas.

The questions relate to topics like WSIB rebates to employers, migrant worker issues, deeming, mental health, claim suppression, older injured workers, ignoring doctors, universal coverage, raising the rates, and more. Some questions include:

1. What does WSIB hand over billions to our bosses?
3. Why can WSIB pretend I’m employed when I can’t find a job, and take my benefits away?
5. Why are employers able to get away with breaking the law by lying, hiding, and suppressing our claims?
7. Why do WSIB benefits expire at age 65, even though we know many workers in Ontario have to work beyond that age?
8. Why are they stealing Christmas from our kids?
9. Why can WSIB ignore the advice of my own doctor who knows me best?
11. Why can bad employers use temp agencies to avoid paying their WSIB premiums?
12. Why aren’t all workers covered by WSIB?
