Citizens’ Assemblies show us what becomes possible when people from every walk of life are given the chance to deliberate seriously. The process is what we need; vital, representative, and deeply human. Follow OWoN to learn more about how we can unite.
The image is a poster with the title "Lessons from the Other Democracy" in large orange letters. Beneath the title, there's a text block discussing the importance of citizens' assemblies and how they provide a different way to tackle rapid changes and complex issues. It emphasizes the role of public participation in reinforcing democracy. The background has a crumpled paper texture.

In ancient Athens, many roles were chosen by lottery, not by campaign, wealth or connections. That is called sortition. Today, citizens’ assemblies bring it back: ordinary people, selected to reflect society, making difficult decisions together. #Sortition #CitizensAssemblies
The image features a large, bold title on the left stating, "Was Ancient Greece Right?" Below, smaller text reads, "What if we brought it back?" On the right, a photo shows a circular seating arrangement with numerous people, suggesting an assembly or council. Text beside the photo reads, "Democracy's original hack: random selection." The color scheme is primarily orange and red.A large circular assembly room filled with people, viewed from above. The text reads: "FROM ATHENS TO TODAY" and details the democratic roots of citizens' assemblies from ancient Athens to present day.

What if ordinary people were trusted to help solve big public problems? #CitizensAssemblies #Democracy
The image features a quote: "The Global Assembly is a way out of a situation where every person, every member of a small society, can express themselves and make their own suggestions. This is a step forward to justice." - Tatiana, Citizens Assembly Member. Below, a statement reads: "Citizens' Assemblies put people at the center of decisions that matter.

Artists are creating images calling for change worldwide. George Kontos made this during a 48-hour Fine Acts × OWoN SPRINT 1927 Artspace in Kypseli, Athens. Participating in democracy should leave us with a positive feeling. How do we keep it that way?
A group of red and pink humanoid figures engages in various activities on a large, abstract white structure that resembles a flower petal. One figure waters a plant at the top, while others are sitting, climbing, or interacting with each other. The background is a light blue sky with a calm blue sea below. Large text on the upper left reads, "DEMOCRACY NEEDS US TO BLOOM.

Democracy is more than a ballot. Citizens’ assemblies give ordinary people time to think, listen and decide together. A better way to make difficult decisions.

The bottom features "CITIZENS' ASSEMBLIES" with a right-facing arrow graphic. An orange poster with bold text reading: "We need more than a ballot. Now." Powering Together." is displayed next to an arrow icon.Orange background with a logo resembling a swirling shape at the top. Bold black text reads, "Time to listen to each other." Below, smaller text says, "The biggest questions of our time cannot be solved in a soundbite, a scrolling news cycle or a rushed political debate. People need the time, information and support to understand what is at stake before being asked to decide." At the bottom, it says, "Building Bridges. Powering Together. An orange poster featuring the logo of the Open Society Foundations. The poster contains text promoting the evolution and improvement of democratic processes through Citizens' Assemblies. The image features a split design with a bold orange section on the left reading, "NEW DEMOCRACY" in large white letters, and the phrases "BOLD IDEAS," "CITIZENS FIRST," and "REAL CHANGE" in smaller text. The right side shows a sepia-toned photo of a circular assembly.
