As an American fan who came to soccer in my early 20s (and has 15+ years in now), it feels like y’all get stuck on “this is what the interpretation has always been” meanwhile American sports suffer from “let’s tweak the interpretation 5% every year”

Something I appreciate about this podcast is that they’re always realistic. @notthatmilo.eurosky.social pointing out that the rules are the rules re: Bentancur is good perspective. Issue is that Shaw can run across the field and two-handed shove Bentancur and it’s less harsh than the response.

So while we’re all having a terrible time I’ll add that Van Hecke, who was supposed to be so great on the ball, has made a few good passes but also missed plenty and is a traffic cone defensively. Bozo business all summer. I was excited but I’m also not employed by a club to make these decisions.

I think water is fine and you should still be offered some. I have been in charge of hiring folks before. Caring about people bringing stuff to an interview is insane to me. If a candidate brought coffee and was the best candidate I wouldn’t even think about it.
