I turned the history of philosophy into a vertical pinball game where one bad bounce can erase all your progress. Now your suffering is portable. Fallosophy is coming to Nintendo Switch™. Two buttons. No score. No safety net. Just keep climbing.

It took much more time than I would like to admit, but thanks for the compliment

Thanks, it was quite a bit of trouble to get it ok-ish. Honestly I’m still not completely satisfied with it’s good practice

Ever wanted to climb the entire history of ideas… but as a pinball? Well now you can. The Fallosophy demo is live on Steam. A physics rage game where you ascend a towering world of philosophy using only two buttons, as Plato intended. Try not to fall. bit.ly/4iMXRoy

The Fallosophy beta has been live for 6 days. Over 1,000 players have already tried to climb the history of ideas - and almost as many have fallen back to the beginning. Given how many players keep climbing back up, we’re going to keep the beta on @itch.io going forward ▶️ Play now: bit.ly/4pNSqaK

Learnings: - Walls in the foreground helps 'ground' the camera and not feel like it's floating - The focal point (gate) is often placed in the center in fixed camera scenes - Snow particles keep the scene moving and alive - High fog means way less assets are required for each scene

I use Unity’s shader graph. Here’s an example: x.com/onethateatyo...
