this was a fav restaurant while in Indianapolis, we found it by word of mouth by locals plus - it was called Bluebeard, from Vonnegut's book of same name, he was from Indy and set a few stories there. This is over in Fountain Square, a funky area a bike's ride from downtown. The owner is really cool and we used him in some of our shows. Oh the food is excellent.

I did find a moonshine maker that still was back woods and his was 160 proof and nobody I knew could drink it. I took it back to L.A. and nobody there could touch it.

Sunset Junction where Santa Monica Blvd runs into Sunset Blvd in Silver Lake Los Angeles, they had a neighborhood street fair every year when the locals did it, it was free. Then promoters got involved and then there were fences and then there were donations, then they tell me it was $20 and we stopped going.

was working a show in Virginia with a bunch of California folk who never been, so we piled in the rented minivan and hit the 2 tourist spots and then over to Jim's - my fav on South Street

the line to see the Liberty Bell was long but it was worth the wait with Independence Hall, we also visited as the snow started

by the time we got to South Street for Jim's it was snowing hard but we still stopped and got a cheese steak and a beer

the drive back to Virginia was brutal, saw a snow plow skid off the road, it took us about 8 hours to get back, safely

this was the arroyo we stopped at for the night, the trip from L.A. to Oakland was about 6 hours, but we would stop in every cool place on the way up and what better than to camp here for the night.
