The hardest part of rescuing cats and doing TNR on colonies is when you find the ones you can’t save. You can exhaust your resources, but sometimes it still isn’t enough.

140

OneDapperCat @onedappercat.bsky.social · 21/07/2026

Last year we incurred $4000 in vet bills alone trying to spay and save the life of colony cats and kittens. I’ve tried every avenue I can to bring income into our home for this purpose, so GoFundMe really is a last resort. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. 💜

OneDapperCat @onedappercat.bsky.social · 21/07/2026

Any additional funds will be going towards TNR for another litter that was born in July, any grown cats we can get, then food and shelters for the colony. We have worked with rescues and TNR programs in the past, but they have either closed or decreased funding and are not an option anymore.

OneDapperCat @onedappercat.bsky.social · 21/07/2026

This first wave of funds will be going to spay a queen who brought her kittens to our feeders, and then her kittens when they are old enough. We always try and place kittens in homes first before resorting to TNR, but that is not always possible.

OneDapperCat @onedappercat.bsky.social · 21/07/2026

gofund.me/91bbfe713 We have been paying to spay and neuter a cat colony since we moved to our current home almost 5 years ago. It’s now come to a point where our savings is depleted and there’s even more needing TNR. Donations appreciated, but not expected. Sharing means the world.

In the term of your novel, the world and the unique aspects of it have that same intrigue and depth, so subsequent novels in the same world don’t necessarily need to be about the same characters to be as good as the original.

010

OneDapperCat @onedappercat.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

I totally get that! I’d say that’s one of the strong suits about They Both Die as a series, because the sequel was different characters in the same world. You can see the connection and depth still because the world is intriguing, but the original characters’ stories are done and wrapped up.

110

OneDapperCat @onedappercat.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

They Both Die at the End is another. Easily stands alone, but becomes more with the existence of the sequel.

010

OneDapperCat @onedappercat.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

I think if the world of the standalone is rich and interesting enough, subsequent stories can built upon it even if they were never part of the original concept and still be superb.

210

OneDapperCat @onedappercat.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

I’m not sure if the Miss Peregrine book was originally a standalone, but I know it stood up very well on its own to the point I was surprised when I saw a sequel come out. Then the sequel ended up expanding the world so much more that I couldn’t imagine it not having been part of it to begin with.

I was honored to do an early review of this book and it’s such an awesome concept. I highly recommend it and will actually be sharing fanart I made of it in a bit (although it admittedly pales compared to the cover). Definitely recommend checking it out when it’s released in August.

They sit most nights under their apple tree, holding hands, drinking cocoa, watching the heavens. It’s a beautiful life. And they live it. A Good Omens S3 Story. Not a fix it. archiveofourown.org/works/84981491

…because those people who made s3 loved the characters and fandom. We weren’t the only ones who had six episodes torn from us. They did as well. So show compassion. Show decorum. And if you can’t, chill out, and rewatch when you can be an adult. I think you’ll find some things missed if you do. 3/3

Being unhappy with the ending is just as valid as being happy about how it was done. But attacking others is just wrong. Bullying the people who made season 3 is abhorrent. We were given something we were almost entirely denied 2/3

OneDapperCat @onedappercat.bsky.social · 17/05/2026

No matter your feelings on how #goodomens ended, attacking the people who made it is unacceptable and entirely antithetical to what this fandom is supposed to be. Be better. I know most of the toxicity is on Twitter, but I’ve seen enough here as well. 1/3

Based on the images from the ending credits by @pandersonstudio.bsky.social I have to wonder if we are only being shown one version of reality. Somewhere, in some version of Alpha Centauri, sits a bookshop and a garden where the last angel and demon toast to all the worlds. #goodomens #goodomens3

OneDapperCat @onedappercat.bsky.social · 13/05/2026

All I will say is that I hope somehow, someday we can get the full six episode scripts as a book so we can see all the threads we couldn’t get. I feel 1941 is sitting in there somewhere, along with so much more. And we need the more. #goodomens #goodomens3

Trying to explain to a three year old that evil exists in the world is a cruel and painful thing. You want to keep them sheltered, but sometimes life takes that option from you.

…it cost nearly twice what my Aziraphale had. That makes sense. Secondhand for discontinued BPAL is pricy. I was worried I’d feel regret when it came, but I didn’t. They are back together. I think the fact this happened in 2026, when our Ineffables will get their happy ending, was serendipitous.

I am always afraid to spend money on myself. “Things can go wrong and you’ll have spent frivolously when you should have saved.” This mindset has caused me to miss out a lot. Yet when I saw the bottle, I didn’t second guess myself. I jumped. It wasn’t until later that I realized…

Two years ago, my husband got me the Aziraphale hair gloss from @bpal.bsky.social for Christmas. I told myself I would get the Crowley the next year so I could have the set. As #goodomens fans know… things happened. BPAL understandably discontinued the whole line. I hated that my Aziraphale…
