At The Court, musicians, magicians, drag artists, puppeteers, storytellers, academics & more come together to share, perform & create. Downstairs, The Night Market overflows with mystical wares & seasonal treasures. Upstairs, folklore is reimagined for the modern world. And now? We take it further.

Once&Future was born from The Court, a six-weekly ‘living zine’ celebrating #folklore, #folkculture, & #folkhorror. Rooted in the Wheel of the Year, it began with Queen Mab writing & recording new music for each event—but quickly became a gathering place for artists, makers & storytellers.

🗡️ JD Henshaw – artistic director of Sweet Productions, Sweet Venues, Dundee Fringe, and Brighton HorrorFest. A theatremaker/playwright/director with a penchant for folk horror and a predilection for the spectral storytelling of the haunted generation.
