I've known new recruit Dr. Florez for all of 5 minutes and I already think she should be a department head at the FBC.
A screenshot from Control Resonant showing Dr. Florez, a recent survivor of the Manhattan AWE and subsequent FBC recruit. She is shown outside speaking to Dylan Faden, saying "That doesn't seem ethical" which is a morality bar that few previous heads in the FBC are able to clear

Why would you use an AI when you can recede into yourself by making a spreadsheet to track your collection like a proper herb. FOR FREE. 🤷‍♂️
Screengrab of my Vinyl Collection spreadsheet. I'm not going to rewrite each entry here, even though my collection is very modest, so you'll just have to trust me that there's some decent shit in here along with a few oddball picks.

Is this what playing Fatal Frame is like
A screenshot from Control Resonant, depicting an area within a black void, the ground covered with yellow grass and leaves, except for a patch of hardwood in the center frame. Atop it is the main character, Dylan, amidst a tableau of a bed, a chair, some pillows, a throw rug, and several unidentified cans of some kind of drink. In the background, as if illuminated by a flash of light, is a humanoid silhouette, a head and shoulders, in front of a thin black frame, almost like that of a television bezel.

47. Skin Deep (Give me a new take on McGyver where every week, Nina Pasadena saves a vessel full of cats from space pirates with little more than a paper clip and some black pepper. Six seasons and a movie, guaranteed.)
Screenshot from Skin Deep, it depicts a cat (Little Lion) in a 70s-esque suit, next to a open briefcase containing a manila envelope. Behind Little Lion is a projector, shining a red circle on an air vent connected to a building in the background, with the words POINT OF INFILTRATION above it.

I am uh..... obsessive, and was reading the whiteboard text in the Oldest House (which also contains some stuff that fits your hypothesis), when I learned that if you don't move Dylan for a few seconds, the camera zooms in a fair amount. That plus some positioning gets you:
A screenshot from Control: Resonant. It depicts Dylan Faden in a dark black void, standing atop a patch of yellow grass. In the foreground is an old CRT TV on the start screen of a fictional video game, "Severed Circle 2". Atop the TV set is a sepia toned photograph showing two figures, ostensibly parents, flanking a young smiling child. The face of the child is intentionally blurred.

(Image upload failed, putting it here for posterity:)
A screenshot from The Lake House, showing the 'self-portrait' made by Rudolf Lane, the last work he made prior to his death. It is the silhouette of a human figure, rendered in blood, surrounded by handprints and blood streaks, on a slab of concrete (which was part of his holding cell). It has since been removed and moved to a deeper level of the Lake House edifice for analysis by the rogue chapter of the FBC run by the Marmonts.

When he finally breaks and makes something FOR himself, a self-portrait OF himself (made WITH himself, his own blood), then *that* is the work that finally triggers Cauldron Lake to do its thing and make his art transcend into reality.

45. Mixtape (I get that this isn't for everyone, but the way it is deeply for me. As an avid music lover who grew up in the burbs and carried some friendships from High School into current day, a lot of this felt almost biographical. The whole game is a fuckin VIBE.)

44. Black Jacket (In a world full of Balatro-like parlor rogues, Black Jacket doubles down on a unique approach that distances it from others: a surprisingly compelling narrative reinforced by mechanics. Very much recommend it to others looking for something a little different.)
Screenshot of a cutscene from Black Jacket, which depicts a stylized black woman with an ornate necklace smiling and holding a pair of cards close to her face. She is sat at a table with come more cards down in front of her. In the foreground and background are numerous people watching her play.

Here a detail from the Ocarina of Time Remake that I really loved-- The Deku Baba tongues look like bigass root vegetables. Neat!

43. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (Initially excited to return to the Primeverse but this one ended poorly for me. Motorcycle didn't make up for its cost, exploration was weaker than previous entries; the final backtrack & last boss fight were sour notes imo. 🤞 Prime 5 does better!)

42. PRAGMATA (A damn fine game. I'm a fraidycat who has a tough time with Resident Evil, despite loving Dead Space 1/2, so this was perfect. Surprisingly into the story, phreaking dug the hacking and the tension of juggling hack, shoot and dodge actions. Get Diana some shoes for the sequel tho!)

40. Voidling Bound (Pretty neat riff on the creature collector / Pokemon formula, but rather than turn-based RPG commands, training consists of ("amicably") possessing a Voidling, helping them improve and then splicing together crazy genetic oddities in a weird third person shooter.)

39. Destiny 2: Monuments of Triumph (I wasn't going to include MoT, but it does have an ending(s) and who knows if I'll ever get to celebrate one of my favorite games of all time properly again so-- farewell to a real one. 🫗 I'll still be logging on to Raid on occasion, tho.)
A screenshot from Destiny 2. It shows the final cutscene with Commander Zavala, by his usual location in the Tower. My Titan, Veyna, is wearing white and gold armor with purple accents, an homage to the Leviathan raid. Zavala is saying: "It's quiet tonight. Peaceful."A screenshot from Destiny 2. 38. Destiny 2: Renegades (While I wasn't as concerned as others about Destiny getting a hot Star Wars injection so late in its life, I left QUITE IMPRESSED how much of it was overtones & gesturing rather than outright references. Bungie cooked, but sadly the already existing bill came due.)
A screenshot from Destiny 2: Renegades, showing a table with cards being played atop it. Surrounding the table are four Vex Goblins (robots) adorned with yellow jackets. At the 12 o'clock position, stands a Vex Minotaur, also bejacketed, holding a handcannon pointing down at the table felt, assertively.A screenshot from Destiny 2: Renegades. My Hunter, Djaina, stands with her hands above her shoulders in a "I'm unarmed" pose, while her Ghost, Sharpish, floats in the air to her left. The background is the interior of a spaceship, vaguely Star Wars Imperial themed.A screenshot from Destiny 2: Renegades. My OTP, Eris Morn and The Drifter / Dredgen Hope / Germaine, share a passionate kiss.A screenshot from Destiny 2: Renegades. In a dimly lit cantina, at a small table with a single white light at the center, three characters toast their drinks to the camera. From left to right, Aunor Mahal, a Praxic Warlock, dressed in a form fitting black and yellow robe; Eido, an Eliskni scribe of the House of Light, lifts her drink with one of her four arms; and my Hunter, Djaina, in a white & gold vest and bright red scarf with her Ghost, Sharpish, in the air just above her drink.

37. Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate (In returning for Monuments of Triumph and having my interest reinvigorated, I decided to play through the expansions I missed during my absence. EoF and the Kepler setting were not high points for me, but I LOVED what it was setting up for the future. Alas.)
Screenshot from Destiny 2's The Edge of Fate campaign, showing the new Emissary of the Nine, Lodi, speaking while looking off screen elsewhere. Behind him is my character, Cerise-60, also looking off screen. Lodi is a middle-aged man with thick glasses, stubble, and one eye socket adorned with a sort of cosmic fracture pattern, glowing a light blue that emanates from under his skin. Cerise-60 is an Exo (robot) Warlock, wearing a deep red jacket. She is without her helmet during this scene, so her black frame is visible, with a thick white light down the center of her face, white audio antennae on the sides of her face, and two glowing pink eyes.

36. Untitled Goose Game (Never finished this one at release, but got to play completely in co-op with my nephew, which was a hoot. He thinks an asshole goose that honks relentlessly is the funniest thing ever created. And he is correct. Can't wait for Big Walk!)
A screenshot from Untitled Goose Game. Two evil geese torment a young boy between them into the fetal position with a barrage of cacophonous honks that would break the spirit of a full-grown man. There are no limits to their torture, for they have not a conscience or morals. In the black void where a soul would reside is only all-encompassing knowledge of pain and how to inflict it on innocent passersby. Pray they do not find you next, for surely you will not survive. Read this in Werner Herzog's voice for added enjoyment.

35. 007 First Light (Thoroughly enjoyed my time with this, was genuinely surprised that IOI were able to strike a pretty ideal balance across many variables. Obvs a lot of Hitman influence, but not too much. Kept a serious tone, but still had some of the glib humor of eras past. Loved it.)

32. Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred (Full spectrum of thoughts on this one -- enjoyed the campaign and setting a lot, moreso than Vessel. Warlock was above average for me, not as bad as some say, but does feel a bit off. Finally realized I just don't like Diablo endgame.)

31. Big Hops (had Big HOPES for this one, but it sadly fell a little short of what I personally look for in a platformer. Bugs kept me from achieving 100% which is a real sour note to leave off on for me -- but I had fun and would still recommend overall)
Screenshot from Big Hops, it depicts the main character Hop, an anthropomorphic frog wearing a sweater and shorts. They are standing in a purple environment, The Void, surrounded by floating islands in various orientations (upside down, orthagonal to the player, etc).
