Yes, the drawing came first. Then an AI model somewhere out there used it to make derivative art and fake protest photos without my knowledge or permission.

This image is mine made by my human hands. I think it's okay to source AI for inspiration to create your own compositions, but derivatives of my art (fake protest pics) are being created by AI models without my knowledge or permission - and that's not so ethical.

TY! I'm fine if ppl want to copy my art onto protest signs. I draw the line (no pun intended) at using it for monetary purposes. I'm now also very against AI being trained on my art for the purpose of producing fake protest photos. I can't tell with this one either, though, & it's disconcerting.

Yes, the AI model stole my original artwork that I created with my bare hands (on a Cintiq) and posted earlier in the month, and people are now making derivative fake protest pictures from it.

Did you take this photo? I am the illustrator of this, and while I don't mind if people 'redraw' my work to use on protest posters (though attribution would have been nice), I did not give permission for AI to make fake protest pics or other derivatives based on my intellectual property.

Oh it is! Ha! Pardon the confusion! while I can’t legally illustrate Pokémon and claim copyright, I was inspired by the Pokémon inflatable suit I saw at the first NoKings protest. It later came up as a symbol before the frog took over as mascot, so I must have decided to use it as a related tag
