They say perfect is the enemy of finished, and now after long time I have one more finished drawing, yayyy! I call it "The Aftermath" and it is non-canon moment from our RPG campaign, where my character ended up swimming in frozen river after outsmarting a certain dragon.

Dark and frozen winter night in Kraków, with Wawel castle in the background. From a hole in the ice, a wet trail climbs up the riverbank. Amidst the snow, a young woman is quickly changing her wet clothes, assisted by her -much warmer dressed- friend. Illustration from an RPG session, non canonicaly commented upon by the very dragon she bested earlier in the adventure (in weird polish-czech hybrid words.)

Art Nouveau portrait of my OC, Gísla. Her brown hair is like intricate waves and curls behind her. She covers her newly formed curves only with a slightly translucent drapery. A skeletal bird is sitting on her finger with a ghostly shape of feathers around the white bones. In the background, separated into smaller pieces by the ornamental frames, there shine the stars, the Moon and Aurora Borealis. The inspiration is partly Mucha's Moon, part Boticelli's Birth of Venus, since Gísla is borne anew into womanhood through her magic.

This is how it is going. I'm slowly getting used to digital shading and adding volume to the flats. Colours seem to be more forgiving than grayscale which was my original plan. I'm having fun even if it's slow and the learning curve seems steep at times. #wip #oc #digitalart
