Remembering a legend by watching my favorite of his movies. Muppet Treasure Island is a masterpiece.

You do not represent multiple nonprofit charities without doing AT LEAST the bare minimum to investigate your potential partners. Anyways, this is the second paragraph of SNK's Wikipedia entry!

In 2001, due to financial troubles, the original SNK Corporation was forced to close. Anticipating the end of the company, founder Kawasaki established Playmore Corporation, which acquired all of the intellectual property of the SNK Corporation. In 2003, Playmore Corporation was renamed to SNK Playmore Corporation. In 2016, SNK dropped "Playmore" from its name. It has been owned by Electronic Gaming Development Company, a subsidiary of the Saudi Arabian Misk Foundation, since 2022.

I really should post some of mine but I don't want to be responsible for the gay panic my IC triad will cause they are way too cute together.

This was one of the bands that played at my employer tonight. They were really good and really nice. Gave me this vinyl as thanks for working the door + not having any way to pay for it (no cash, no common payment apps). Anyways please check out Floorbird, they're stellar.

Thank you Dirty Androids and RoughSketch for the soundtrack to my warmup this morning and thank you Hardcore Tano*C for the inrace music. Couldn't have done it without you all. Special thanks to Akira Complex for fittingly being the soundtrack of my finish (RIP).

Actual Weeby Hot Take: the fact that 99% of the people who cite Spirited Away, Kikis Delivery Service or My Neighbor Totoro as the best Miyazaki film is proof that they have not watched enough of them to have an informed opinion. The answer in 2025 is Porco Rosso and it's not even close.

An exchange between a military officer and the titular Porco Rosso, an anthromorphic pig. The officer states, "Come back to the Air Force, Marco. I could still get you in." Marco replies,"I'd much rather be a pig than a fascist."

Girls only want one thing and it's FUCKING DISGUSTING

A screenshot of the Steam page for TETRIS THE GRAND MASTER 4 -ABSOLUTE EYE- which has been wishlisted. This is presumably the one disgusting thing girls want.

To be clear, I do not recommend walking from Valley Forge to the casino, there are no sidewalks and both roads at the intersection exiting the park on that side are busy enough that I'd be VERY nervous as a pedestrian on either.

Actually pretty gnarly. Idk how well the swelling shows in the first (damaged) hand compared to the second (fine) but the discoloration is obvious and it fucking SUCKS to grip things. I did check my ROM and all that. No breaks or fractures. Just hurts like a mf to grip things.

Bruised, swollen hand from a bike crash.

It's that time of the week again... The schedule drop. Continuing our romp through Resident Evil 4 ('05), the usual foot content, moar XIV roulette grinding, and maybe other stuff that I have yet to announce/decide!

11: 428: Shibuya Scramble Is this the best visual novel I've ever read? No. Is it one of wildest rides, going from raw serious emotion to gutbusting physical gags and back on an almost line-by-line basis at times? Yes. A definite Must Play if you are at all curious about visual novels.

000

Olivia Fairlight @olivia.powerupwithpri.de · 23/10/2024

10: Undertale Another game whose reputation speaks for itself. The only bad thing about this game is the fandom.

100

Olivia Fairlight @olivia.powerupwithpri.de · 22/10/2024

9: Contra: Shattered Soldier "Hey, what if we took the best part of every Contra game (the boss fights) and made it over half of the game, and set it all to chuggy, distorted guitars the whole time?" "...how soon can you ship it?" This is the pinnacle of the series, without question.

110

Olivia Fairlight @olivia.powerupwithpri.de · 22/10/2024

8: The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind One of my favorite janky messes ever created. This was my introduction to The Elder Scrolls and in terms of playtime, is the most time I have sank into a single game that has a Clearcut Endgame Goal To Complete To Roll Credits.

110

Olivia Fairlight @olivia.powerupwithpri.de · 22/10/2024

7: Chrono Trigger A game that needs little introduction because its reputation does the heavy lifting. The perfect JRPG and one of the most consistent answers I'll give for "my favorite game of all time".

120

Olivia Fairlight @olivia.powerupwithpri.de · 22/10/2024

Oh I got more responses since I filled the first few out. Neat. 6: beatmania IIDX I mean, are you surprised? DDR was the game that got me hooked into rhythm games - IIDX was the game that kept me hooked for over 2 decades. Represented by the OST for my favorite version.

120

Olivia Fairlight @olivia.powerupwithpri.de · 21/10/2024

Stream schedule drop. Obviously, didn't stream today. Will be on Satisfactory until Wednesday when it'll be Satisfactory AND Stepmania. I played a bunch of StepManiax at Round 1 last night; and then played ITG off stream with Fresca and silentblackcat tonight so I need recovery days.

020

Olivia Fairlight @olivia.powerupwithpri.de · 21/10/2024

5: Megaman 8 It's an entry that over the years has become a bit of a black sheep, but I personally think the Blue Bomber's first foray onto disc-based systems hits a lot more than it misses. Great music, unique weapons, and has peak level design with Sword Man's puzzles and Astro Man's mazes.

110

Olivia Fairlight @olivia.powerupwithpri.de · 21/10/2024

4: Capcom vs SNK 2 You could argue this is the greatest fighting game ever released with no actual talking points and people will agree. A large cast of iconic characters combined with the 6 Grooves provides a ton of unique options. It also has, in my opinion, the best OST of any Capcom fighter.

110

Olivia Fairlight @olivia.powerupwithpri.de · 21/10/2024

3: Donkey Kong '94 If there was a textbook definition of a puzzle platformer, this is pretty much it. Satisfying movement, the perfect difficulty curve for both puzzle solutions and platforming, and a perfect dripfeed of new gimmicks and themes makes this a game I wish more people would play.

110

Olivia Fairlight @olivia.powerupwithpri.de · 21/10/2024

2: Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne This is the game (and frankly, franchise) that all the people bellyaching about Pokemon being too easy and kiddy *should* be playing. This was one of the games that made me start SERIOUSLY questioning my relationship with religion. Also the OST goes HARD.

The Japanese boxart for Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne

120

Olivia Fairlight @olivia.powerupwithpri.de · 21/10/2024

1: Final Fantasy VIII A flawed gem. The story goes off the rails immediately and the combat is eurojank levels of busted, but I adore the attempt at making a mainline Final Fantasy with a School Days setting and would love to see them remake and get the audience it deserves.

100

Olivia Fairlight @olivia.powerupwithpri.de · 21/10/2024

New milestone stamina clear. Thank you @dwinkfwesca.kawaii.social for measure counting the second run for me because I would have given up thinking the light at the end of the tunnel was too far off.
