NEVERMOOR X IMPOSSIBLE CREATURES X TREASURE PLANET “I’m a bear?!” Meet Arthur Oak. A thirteen year old boy that discovers he’s a Druid and is whisked off through a portal to a magical realm. 63,000 words of magic, family and creatures of folklore. #Questpit #MG #F #Q
Cover page for Arthur Oak and the Druid Child visual carousel. Torn paper shows the wording, on top of a forest background. Text reads “an agent’s guide to” followed below by “Arthur Oak and the Druid Child”. “MG Fantasy - 63 thousand words”. “J.J.W. Lovell”Torn paper shows the wording “Excerpt”, on top of a forest background.
The text for the excerpt is “Arthur moved his hand to the pendant, trying to catch the sparks from within and push them back against his chest, but
instead, his body lunged forwards and grew, sudden but
painless. His body lifted and dropped with a padded thud.
His arms had become furry again. He let out a shriek, but it
seemed loud, and only part human. He was larger, and hunched over, but it didn't feel out of place. The two Fairies flew back, suspended in the air, their wings beating fast, their
faces covered in excited smiles.
"You are the chosen one!" Ain assured Arthur.
Arthur turned to look in the mirror, and could barely believe
his eyes. He lifted his arm as the creature in the reflection
lifted a paw. He dropped his lower jaw, and the set of teeth with sharp canines opposite him copied his movements.
He tried backing away from the reflection, but he was so big,
his rear end triggered the automatic hand dryer.
It took him a moment to find the words.
He looked in the mirror. The creature in the mirror looked
back.
"I'm a bear!?"”Torn paper shows the word “includes”, on top of a forest background. Below it are 7 small bullet points that appear as portals. They read “
• A SHAPESHIFTING DRUID BOY
• A PORTAL TO A MAGICAL PLACE
• TWO BRAVE FAIRIES
• FOUND FAMILY.. LITERALLY
• A MAGIC ABSORBING MONSTER
• AN OGRE WITH A BIG HEART
• LOTS MORE FANTASTIC CREATURES
Below that, on more torn paper, is the hook.
“TWO TINY PURPLE CREATURES TOLD HIM HE WAS A DRUID. HE DIDN'T BELIEVE THEM.
HE WAS WRONG.”Torn paper shows the wording “other media”, on top of a forest background.
The other media shows two movie posters with arrows and text around them, explaining the similarities. Turning Red, because of discovering identity and inherited transformation magic, and Treasure Planet, because of the cast of unlikely characters and a boy discovering where he belongs.
