Their owners cannot understand how they cannot pay their way out of trouble like they have their whole lives. Many of their fans stick with the owners when in reality their approach to this could legitimately mean their club no longer exists. Man City fans should be the ones angriest at the owners.

If Manchester City co-operated at the start they probably would've got a 60pt punishment, hefty fine, relegated, bounce straight back and move on. Now the punishment will be much much much more severe and seriously threaten their extinction, force a sale of the club etc.

Gyokeres is not suited at all to be emergency back up. Needs to play regularly to be any good and he's not good enough to play regularly for us. The club knew this hence were actively exploring trading him this summer. Could be looked at again in January as I can't see him playing much.

I think start Eze vs. Ipswich and if he does well, he starts vs. Brighton. Tzolis has been great, but so far, away from home, he has struggled. Eze still has a big part to play in this squad - and has unique qualities.

Main negative from tonight is Rice and Odegaard had to play 90 because we didn't finish earlier chances. 26 shots tonight is the most shots away from home we've EVER had in the Champions League. Over 4xG and just 0.2xG conceded. Lots of positives.

From what I’ve seen from Mikel Merino (for club and country) since returning from injury, he looks better than ever. I can see games where it suits him to start in the 10, as our 9 and ultimately a great sub in many game states.

So the squad is set like this. Overall numbers are strong but its attacking quality/depth/variety where we really lack. For Arsenal to be succesful, reliant on Saka/Kai/Odegaard keeping fitness levels they've not managed in recent years ...

Arsenal set to confirm 4 departures (Vieira ✅ Jesus ✅, Nwaneri [loan] ✅ & Martinelli 🔜) & 0 incomings on deadline day. Club earned the most money in world football last season and have trimmed the wage bill this summer. The bank will be bursting but club seem unable to execute a top attacker deal.

Think I'd bring in Konsa, Bruno and Eze to the XI to face Chelsea. Mosquera/White really struggles technically in that area of the pitch. You can see why Arteta was so determined to get Konsa - will pair really nicely with Gabriel and have some time at RB I'd imagine.
