The most important part of the First Amendment is the part everyone forgets: the right to seek redress. If some people get screwed by a gov action, even when overall there is a great benefit, the gov should be held accountable for the people screwed, ideally, with taxes from everyone else's profits.

Our democracy should have a house of congress based upon labor/professions nationally, instead of two based upon states. Plumbers Electricians Famers Farm Hands Accountants Engineers Researchers Logistics Unemployed etc. Proportional to the number of people who do that work.
