Dark Seed. Same DNA as Alien Isolation: Giger. It was so tense you could cut the air with a scalpel.

Rarely seen in the wild shipping boxes containing five ZX Spectrum Nexts each. These are the boxes we put on pallets for transportation. Dog for scale.

Atari 2600 Missile Command the way it was meant to be played, with its original vinyl soundtrack. I'll keep those missiles from touching a single city. Not on my watch! #retrogaming #retrogames

My moonlighting as a Maker led me to staging Wunder Beta's debut show. I'm particularly proud of the unfurling heart made of pieces of CDs triggered by a Z80 processor. Check out the show breakdown here and listen to some of her tracks! wunderbeta.substack.com/p/a-room-of-...

Riding in retro style on a Sinclair C5? Sure thing! Tempted to find one to revamp and ride around in London down the line. Good idea or madness in its purest form? (We'll ship the KS3 ZX Spectrum Nexts before I start another project, don't worry!)

How many ZX Spectrum Nexts can we spot at RetCon today? Many! A happy place this is!

Catching up on the trend of posting an obscure game most people missed out on. Here's my Amiga entry:

Yes, there's a solution: electric paint. I restored a few broken traces on an A1200 membrane with this.

Watching an old disaster movie, Poseidon Adventure, and Leslie Nielsen shows up in the role of the captain of the doomed ship. Now I can't take the story seriously anymore, because I keep waiting for the supposedly dead captain show up with a woopee cushion telling people to not call him Shirley.

To the people arguing that 3 1/2 floppy disks weren't actually floppy. You know the word 'disk' means a circular object, right? 'Floppy disk' refers to the media inside the rigid square plastic case, which is indeed floppy and circular, just like 5 1/4 and 8" floppy disks.

So, GamesIndustry and Matthew Ball want you to believe 50+ gamers need 'special games' they can play. Tell that to my 65:1 KD ratio, son. @chetsucks.com

When I moved to the UK a couple of decades ago, new friends I made kept gifting me DVD boxsets of British stuff I should know about but never heard of. I owe them for introducing me to the likes of Red Dwarf, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, Spaced... Brits are lovely welcoming people.

The 80s was a special time where all you needed for travelling into space was access to a junkyard and an Apple IIc to power your homemade spaceship. If you've never seen Explorers, you don't know what you're missing.

0172

Henrique Olifiers @olifiers.bsky.social · 13/04/2026

Nah. The best show of an Apple IIc ever is on Explorers, where it powers their junkyard made spaceship.

And at Revision'26 demoscene fest, the humble ZX Spectrum won the 4k category with a very neat 3D demo running on a 128K Speccy, beating Win, C64, Linux and even CPC entries! www.pouet.net/prod.php?whi... Alive and kicking doesn't even start to describe it.

CNBC 'journos' labelling people who don't mindlessly upgrade gadgets every year as 'hoarders' is one of the most pathetic things I've read this week. It's dystopian at best.
