I drove thru Central VA recently. Same route a couple of years ago, even btwn elections, Trump/MAGA signs, flags all over. Now I saw only 1 pro-Trump sign & it was part of a bid by a local loser who runs for something every time & never wins.

I've seen various estimates, but prob 30,000 Canadians served in US armed forces during the Vietnam War era, with some 12,000 serving in-country. Of those, 134 died. Peace, my brothers.

In 1958, Clennon King Jr. tried to enroll at the University of Mississippi. Instead, he was committed to an insane asylum. Because, reasoned the judge, a black man would have to be crazy to think he could get in to all-white Ole Miss. (4 years later James Meredith did enroll.)

I was stationed in Panama during my US Army days some decades ago. Strangely, the Canal Zone TV station broadcast Canadian, not US, football. Calgary had quite the fan base among US soldiers. Go Stampeders!
