I’m very happy that the themes in the story are becoming more talked about in recent times. A girl who has been alienated due to her incestuous relationship with her father, and another (trans) girl whose gender has produced the same outcome for her

Itsuka Shinu Shoujo 7/10. Ahh, it’s a bit frustrating because I really loved this piece, my thing with it is that I wished the resolution to the conflict wasn’t so fast-paced as we didn’t get to see Hitori’s feelings or thoughts regarding it, which in my opinion left a hole in the story

At 24 short chapters, this was a sweet story, it only makes me wish it was longer! However, as the mangaka’s first work I’m quite interested to see more of them

Yuri I read today was “Itsuka Shinu Shoujo”. After a suicide attempt, the protagonist meets a girl who’s a cancer patient at the hospital. They give each other strength to live and survive.

Yuri I read today is “Walk Wit Me”. A story about the relationship of two girls in a religious mining town. At only 2 chapters, this was quick but enjoyable read. Its art is also beautiful, the style fitting perfectly into the setting

Aki gains her autonomy back quickly, and this is demonstrated with her confession to Marie, who thinks back to her mother who would tell her how much she loved her, while the world protected their nuclear bond with a curtain. I liked how this scene carried out, just not most of the development

One of the main themes of the story is wishes. The wish to be free, to let go of suffering, the wish to wish. This is placed upon Aki, who outside of Marie has no wishes for herself

The premise sounded interesting, which is the main reason why I started reading this. However, I was quickly disappointed. The story develops itself quickly, as well as does the conflict which ends up feeling quite forced and meaningless

This was a beautiful story, one of the plot points I loved the most were actually Ichiko’s parents, their unconventional love towards each other and their daughter

I really like how Ichiko narrates the story, especially with many of the characters being writers and translators
