and they do it right out in the open, no shame at all

'Just another grubby, dirty, bloody political party'
Before the March Western Australian state election, a string of candidates quit One Nation or were dis-endorsed by the party.

Several of them have spoken to Four Corners about the high cost of standing for One Nation.

Former One Nation candidate for the rural seat of North West Central, Dane Sorensen, revealed a copy of the party's Western Australian "candidate agreement" form.

All candidates had to sign it before they would be officially accepted by One Nation as a candidate.

The contract includes a financial penalty described as an "administration fee" of $250,000 payable to One Nation if any elected candidate quits the party.

Wiki needs help, don't let the oligarchs get it

25 August: Wikipedia still can't be sold
We're sorry we've made several attempts to reach you. It's Tuesday, 25 August, and Wikipedia is seeing fewer readers this year so your visit means a lot. If everyone reading this gave $2.75 today, we'd hit our goal quickly. Most readers don't donate; only 2% do. Wikipedia is run by a nonprofit, not by a billionaire. So if Wikipedia has given you $2.75 worth of knowledge, please give. Any contribution helps, whether it's $2.75 or $25.

Meanwhile Australia is expanding coal mines and building a new oil refinery, sleeping with the enemy will do that

Key recent approvals include:

September 2024: The Albanese government approved three massive expansions in New South Wales (Narrabri, Mount Pleasant, and Ashton-Ravensworth), with Mount Pleasant set to become Australia's largest coal mine, three times the size of the Adani project.
December 2024: Four additional extensions were approved (Caval Ridge, Boggabri, Lake Vermont, and Vulcan South), adding further operational life and volume to existing sites.
2025–2026: Approvals for Ulan Coal Mine (NSW) and Middlemount Coal Mine (QLD) extend operations by several years, with Middlemount projected to emit an additional 236 million tonnes of carbon pollution over its extended life.
