Got my first batshit theory of everything mailed to me at Purdue (mailed to me!! In 2026!!!) today. In a world of AI psychosis, this kind of old-school, hand-prepared insanity is a warm and wonderful thing. (Also I am totally stealing "Content: basic truth; source: fervent love of justice)

Yeah I totally agree with a lot in this thread, and think the hounding of Arday was disgusting and vile. But also, come on JS, this is just not true. (Imagine a student running the argument "I just copied sentences, not ideas" to convince you not to fail their paper.)

Again, this very well may be the future, no shade to Simon (well, only some shade to Simon) for getting out on this early. But if we're getting to a place where not-amazing-but-publishable papers can be written in 2-3 days, this whole system is gonna come crashing the fuck down
