Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 19/08/2025I love the 5200 Qix visually, but yeah...not a great experience with that controller. Agreed on Missile Command, though again with my crappy controller having to REALLY MASH that button makes an already tense situation even worse. Pole Position...another one that's sadly a mess. 010
Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 19/08/2025I really enjoy the versions of Centipede and Defender, I’m sure the former would be awesome with the trak ball…gotta track one of those down I guess. I’m also curious how Robotron 2084 would control with those ridiculous sticks. 110
Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 19/08/2025I’ve had a morbid fascination with it for years and hearing about it being a failure, and yeah, there’s a LOT you have to put up with (least of all the size), but the games are really good! It’s just the controller renders them almost unplayable. 210
Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 19/08/2025Bought a boxed 5200 last year with one barely functioning controller; the stick wasn’t the problem, it’s the buttons. Literally got blisters trying to play Joust, other than that had a blast 110
Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 03/12/2024So that new PS5 update for the original PlayStation's 30th anniversary is amazing. Few things bring on the goosebumps and kick the nostalgia into overdrive like the PS1 startup. Please make the new themes a permanent option! 010
Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 21/11/2024I may not find cool retro games at Goodwill anymore…but at least I can find awesome shirts of them. 040
Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 13/11/2024Yeah that block on Gafford at the rim was ridiculous, he made a nice pass to I think Moody on a cut to the rim, plus he's also been nailing that corner 3 to start the year. Just gotta hope he doesn't have any...outbursts lol 010
Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 13/11/2024Game of the year so far given the build up, emotions, and what’s at stake with the Cup. Watching Steph go off like that never gets old. 010
Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 10/11/2024Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, the Ori games. Guacamelee, Axiom Verge are a few to check out. And now I’m reminded to finish getting that platinum trophy for Castlevania Requiem lol 020
Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 10/11/2024Highly recommend Back in My Play if you haven’t listened. Doesn’t update much anymore sadly but they did a fantastic series of Dreamcast episodes. 000
Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 10/11/2024Glad to see you more active here, Bootsy. Definitely a more positive vibe. Looking forward to new music! 010
Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 10/11/2024A perfect game. Both this and the 2006 Coast 2 Coast update desperately need a rerelease. 000
Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 09/11/2024More awesome Genesis artwork, this time from my favorite shooter on the system, the almighty M.U.S.H.A. This game is the complete package; amazing music, visuals, gameplay. Unfortunately don’t have the box for this one; kinda don’t want to go bankrupt, lol. 010
Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 08/11/2024What a gorgeous machine. The Japanese model 2 white Saturn is equally beautiful. Sega hardware is the best hardware! 000
Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 08/11/2024X2 may be my favorite Mega Man game…but X1 is the one I come back to the most. An iconic, infinitely replayable game from the peak of the 16 bit generation. 010
Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 07/11/2024A visitor from the future that was too good for this world. 110
Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 07/11/2024Shining Force II since I'm old and out of touch lol 000
Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 07/11/2024Mega Man, Sonic, Persona, and Castlevania 👍👍 010
Travis Gallowich @oldguywithsticks.bsky.social · 07/11/2024Hi! SNES and Dreamcast are 2 of my favorite systems (Genesis will always be #1 though), and I've been a massive Godzilla fan since I was a kid. 010
