There is no average for the time of year any more. There is no sign of being able to set a new average. Farmers know this. Soon all crops will have to grow under cover. Not just in Kent. World population may halve. Do not be poor.

What was the rate 10 years ago and 20 years ago? Is it still estimated at 1metre at 2100?

It is ironic that Reform wants to keep Andy Burnham out of Labour. What is supposed to be the Burnham benefit? I don't know. Changing course mid term will not give time for any significant change to yield a benefit. It p;oints to confusion and division.

Humanity is responding at an accelerating rate. By talking we engage and help change. My opinion is that human population is too high. Humans are the root trigger for warming. Our culture has to move away from consuming.

What is slowing it? Water retention in the atmosphere as air temperature rises. Unfortunately this makes reversing sea level rise extra hard. Best chance is an ice age. Bye bye Northern Europe and Asia.

The fundamental problem is about trust. Ironically the people let down by brexit cannot be persuaded because they do not trust.

Earlier springtime is accepted. We need to build out from the accepted. Is earlier spring sinister? What next? Seas are warming is accepted. Is that sinister, Build from now to the next thing.

Climate change is too difficult. Everyone does what they can. Climate change It is information overload.

Stop taxing people for working. It makes no sense at all. Slowly switch taxes from the cost of living part of income to consumption of resources. VAT is too simplistic. does not cover reduction in consumption of scarce resources; a disposal costs. Work is a need.

There is the notion that Christianity is exclusive - started by Roman Catholic Church. Executed by Charlamagne, Inquisition etc. Wrong.

Impossible. Stockpiles of food only work for a very limited time e.g. a year.

No chance. For a start you cannot change the policemen. You have to change their laws and culture. In this country even; we have changed our laws - not so much our culture.

All living creatures, both male and female, sacrifice a part of their lives for their children. Otherwise the children neither survive nor evolve. And humans have evolved more than any creature on earth. So the little human man also partnered the big beautiful neanderthal woman.

Please please please. You have so much evidence of climate change at your fingertips. Can you highlight the changes where you see them. Do you think global warming hit the Pharos?

Thank you. The desire for respected affirmation. A sentiment I suspect you feel a lot more than I do. I get a little bit just from being tall. At school I was mocked but then learned how to milk it. Standing out makes people look and then…. It makes sense.

Not exactly adopted. I was taught that he wanted to cut the number of gods/holidays and also saw an advantage in the Christian ethics. He edited the gospels a bit and reduced the number to 4. I was taught this 75 years ago so??

Religion gets things done; Aztec; Egyptian; Samurai; Muslim; Christianity. Not everyone is religious, nor ever has been. We need uniformity so that if we go to a heaven it is the same one for all of us. Other forms of righteousness have happened.

Religion is a tool of power. Christianity was adapted by Constantine for exactly that reason. Religions set rules in stone. A soldier needs clarity.

Destruction gets repaired. Although you may not like it Iran has a culture which it is trying to protect. Protecting its people from overt sex and materialism? Try to understand that. Understand what they are afraid of. Neither Trump nor Israel nor the ayatollahs are right. What is?

Epstein headed a superman cult. Andrew was born to it. Andrew’s great grandfather commanded women to his bed. Born to rule. Royal means first born of firstborn. Blue blooded. Trump is a subscriber.

They did it to keep tax promises. People need health and pensions. Machines do not. Ownership can generate wealth and so we need to tax ownership. Also resources especially carbon must be taxed. NI, BBC, food, basic house ownership should not be taxed.

Religious books are archaeology. They provide enormous insight into the evolution of human thinking. However they should not be manipulated to restrict free thinking.

The rain produced is not saline. The salinity of the Atlantic is not uniform. However I simply don’t know. Can you elaborate. The article suggested a very long timescale.

Quite terrifying. Is the abnormal rainfall in winter on the North Atlantic adding to the fresh water input from glacial melt? Are massive winter precipitations under way?

I find Christiani chiurches a great meeting place for deepening understanding of the meaning of life and death etc. I rather think Jesus was a humanist. The other man on the cross was not a Christian was he? Just a like minded mate.

And how much more desalination is coming from prolonged winter precipitation in areas south of the arctic cap.

No to universal suffrage for refining bills. Specialist suffrage only; health, transport, defence etc. MPs can do the non expert universal sufferage.
000
oldexonian.bsky.social @oldexonian.bsky.social · 10/02/2026
Why universal sufferage? There should be a reforming house; by specialists in the domain of the bill; chosen by their collegues. E.g. for assisted dying they should be Health specialists chosen by GPs and medical faculties. This would prevent omnishambles. MPs decide to assist or not to assist

A bill may need technical scrutiny or moral scrutiny or both. Where it needs both scrutiny should be restricted to people with experience in handling the problems. Otherwise (e.g. assisted dying bill) you end up with an omnishambles.

IMPORTANT: The Dutch invest €595 million annually on urban biking, resulting in €19 BILLION saved in public health care costs alone. That’s how smart governments do the math on investing in better mobility. Let’s be clear— it WASTES public money to NOT do it. #CityMakingMath HT @modacitylife.com

Good education ends dictatorships. Nothing will reverse climate change once it tips. We need to join with China and not the USA. America does not have universal good education and its democracy is weak. The far east is learning fast. It takes 2 generations to kick in.

Yes, I read an article in The Readers Digest around that time claiming that ice ages came on in ten to fifty years. But I was mocked for taking a readers digest article seriously. I became aware that society does not accept dystopian thinking. AMOC and other research all being suppressed.
