a common sentiment I've seen about MagicCon Atlanta has been "they shouldn't host events in the South" while i understand where this comes from(feeling like The South™️ is hostile to queer ppl) it fails to acknowledge an often ignored part of our community: people of color(specifically black folks)

Like don't get me wrong cool promos but if u put this proportion to how players value this. Its a £1 rare if you win a £30 entry tournament. These things need to award mox opals/ocelot prides/overlords etc and then store and players would be back in their droves. Cardboard and ink costs dont vary

I agree here sets "alright" at best but not awful. Just the assumption this is a mish mash of broken "miniset" or commander ideas is tainting our evaluation alongside the product fatigue that no one can deny.
