Always thought it was all the images, text etc that I see here. The app view just plugs into the relay/firehouse, gathers it and displays it. Same with other apps defining what their apps want to show. Everyone gets what they want from firehose. Yeah doesn't register but thanks for trying

Both apps are having issues this weekend. First it was Bluesky and now it is Mastodon. 503 errors on Mastodon are common though. Advantage for activitypub apps is that one outage does not interfere with other apps. Photo community pxlmo is still up #mastodon #activitypub #bluesky #atproto #bsky

if relay continues to work but Bluesky app view is having problems, the chart shows the flow of data going to other app views can still function [1] -> [2] Since other app views also went down during outage, I'm curious how the alt app views can stay connected? Isn't firehose same? @bnewbold.net

Sorry no Apple magic. Too much credit to [company] until something happens. Same until my Macbook drive got corrupted and entire drive of files went missing including photos. Others have been reporting similar with Sonoma and Sequoia

Haha I even replaced my osx with Ubuntu. Each OS have their own headaches but have to give Ubuntu and Linux credit for easy and fast install/updates. Apps on the other hand ... 🫢
