iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Slightly losing it over this one and discovering a thing for middle-aged dude monster TF.

The problem with reverse-engineering Adobe products is that you also reproduce all their bugs.

They used AI to reverse-engineer Photoshop (TWICE!), and I'm wondering if they're safe to use (both for my data and socially lol)...

(I've read that labor rates were actually somewhat volatile over history, and that, pre-industrialization, and where workers were able to control their own hours to a reasonable extent, they worked a lot less than we do today. Though obviously it was more physical labor.)

Not quite my tempo. You sure?

I wanna play whatever PS2/Xbox game he's from (they never ported it to GCN).

Like watching dudes in the grade above you that you've admired since jump crash out.

000

Watching a video about fitness influencer steroid abuse, and a section going over early deaths reminded me of He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named and StupidGit... It's really weird thinking about the trajectory from the deviantArt days to the absolute insanity of what transpired, man...

Depends on what you mean by "truly frightening". First time I remember being scared? When they played one of those "scary sounds" Halloween tapes at the Y pre-k. Then there was the time I couldn't make it past the intro of the Transformers movie. But what gave me a lifelong phobia? BattleTanx.

I want to believe that I don't have to end, but also that I don't have to go on forever. I want to believe that we're sublimated into love and solace. I want to believe; please don't let it be misplaced faith.

Everyone is friend-shaped. I want to meet them.

000

The pain of meeting someone you're attracted to and making an absolute fool of yourself.

000

Everyone mistakes Sora and co. for being younger than they're supposed to be, and I don't know what it says about me that I never had a problem thinking of them as 14 (since that's when I first played it, and their behavior was fairly accurate to me and my friends' chuuni-ism).

She had entire speeches and monologues for him. She sic'ed all of Mickey Mouse's Evil Exes on him.

I think I have a new character. What's his name? Uh, looks like a Petey. Or maybe a Clyde. I dunno, help me out here, guys.

A grinning abominable snowman, in the buff. He's wearing a weird little hat thing. Looks like a real jolly fellow, with a body to match the personality (friend-shaped and hung).

The same snowman. Man he just looks like a real affable fellow. ...Who's that next to him?

Seeking: local big fat nerd to just hug me

Tl;dr Please print your art. Please print art that you love.

000

I know no one ever listens to me, but I'm hoping others start coming to the same conclusion and taking steps to preserve our media. The downside of so much furry culture being digital is that it really can all be wiped out with the right code. Hope it never gets to that, of course.

It'll be impossible to do it for EVERYTHING, because I have... a lot... of images, going back almost 2 decades. But I'd rather have something than nothing if the lights were to go out. Videos are harder. I'm thinking, "print flat zoetropes," but that's unwieldy. Best bet is probably burn disc+pray.

100

I've become a little paranoid about where this AI stuff/the geopolitical situation is headed, and started printing out thumbnail sheets of my art/art I like/stories I enjoy, on the off-chance that something incredibly stupid happens and both remote and local digital files become inaccessible.

people standing over your shoulder talking at you while you're trying to focus.

I can count the number of times I've Discord called on one finger, but I imagine that voice-only chats (especially when you're doing something else) are not quite the same as "buncha peeps hangin' out", even if it's tempting to consider it that. Instead of F2F group convo it's like a half-dozen

I wish eating a ton of food didn't give me a headache and send me into a prediabetic coma. I would really, really like to gain a lot of weight and have the journey be pleasant.

There are 4 games on this list that no one ever talks about, and if you talk about them with me, we will be friends.

For the love of Dionysus, yes.

Random kink: human-sized figure jumping into a body of water, disappearing... *moment of tension* ...reappearing whale-sized.

"Shaped me", not "favorite", so I grouped some that shaped me in similar ways (including the two which gave me a phobia).

I, uh, cheated a little~. My 9̷ 16 games my9games.net/en

Pokemon Blue, Kingdom Hearts II, StarFox 64/Dinosaur Planet/Chrono Cross, DDRMAX2, Magi-Nation/Golden Sun, BattleTanx/I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, Every Extend/Monster, Super Smash Bros Melee, and Final Fantasy X, XIII, XV.

...Now that I think of it, I could double up Melee with Brawl, but... Nah, I'm done.
