Demodulating MTG-I1 raw data @ 26Ghz received in Panska Ves. It is 188M OQPSK 1/2 and RS I=5. Unfortunately, it is encrapted. It's very disappointing considering it's supposed to be public life-saving data... S-Band is not encrypted.

And it's gone... I decided to give my 180cm prime focus dish (and so my X band capability) away. It served me good, but it's been sitting idle basically since Autumn 2023, it'll find use elsewhere.

Soo.. yeah. I got a 320cm dish, quite shallow at around ,54f/D but that's fine. It's got a 10x10x1mm mesh so theoretically useable up to around 2.9GHz until the leakage becomes noticeable. Just need to figure out the stand for it!

Chci do světa poslat tohodle krasavce. Band Decoder MKII od @/ok1hra, Kdysi jsem jej postavil jako kit, a od té doby leží v šuplíku, nepoužitý, maximálně pár miniaturních oděrků. Osazený čipem ULN2803A Cenu si představuju kolem 2tis. CZK, kit mne tehdá vyšel asi na 2.5...

Heltec LoRa V3.1 with Semtech SX1262, really a popular board for Meshtastic and other projects alike (cough.. Reticulum) seems to run on 23cm quite happily. Still gotta measure the power, but atleast roughly from the field strenght it seems pretty close to the 20ish dBm.

Been a week too late for SAQ Grimeton transmission but oh well, here goes my VLF Upconverter, the input is DC coupled and it's inspired heavily from HB9DUL' upconverter, the only difference there is, is the LO, being a new old stock Tesla VCXO at 15.2MHz. www.giangrandi.org/electronics/...

Some more progress on the tracking setup. Attached the 70cm VLNA, already tracked a bunch of sats, sadly the MMDS isn't really cutting it, might require a cone sleeve to buy me a couple of dBs more... But one step at a time.
