His thumb swiped away the tears cascading down the red cheek that he cherished the most, “You are what I’ve yearned for since the day I met you, Hiro.” He stops the prince’s head from shaking in disbelief, and smile his most honest smile at the only person in this world he could see himself loving,

He reaches up to tuck a stray strand of pink hair behind the now tearing man’s left ear, and leaves him with a choice, “Would you, Hanamaki Takahiro, take me as your husband?” “You… I…. You can’t just… it’s not up to me, Matsukawa!” “Hm, but it is. I have my King’s permission to court you,

The Prince has visibly frozen up where he stood, but he intends to break down the thin wall that stood between them. He can only hope that Takahiro feels the same way. “But now we are of age, we have to put duties as a duke and a prince before our wants . I cannot visit as often as I want to,

you’ve slowly became a fun acquaintance, a cool friend, a loving best friend, and the most infuriating partner in crime. You give me motivation to return back to you year after year by just being yourself, and I fully believe that we will stay close friends for the whole of this lifetime. “

takes a deep breath to prepare for the most important moment in his life. “My prince, my Hiro,” those same wide eyes stared at him just like all those years ago across the grand hall, “you’ve fallen into my life as a comrade to sneak out of a boring event hall, and throughout these years,

The awed expression on the Prince’s face right now gives him the courage to finish what took him months of planning, negotiating, and finalising. Grabbing the pair of soft hands of the pink-haired angel in front of him with a slightly shaking and a lot sweating pair of his own, he

“Let’s go, or I’m leaving.” ——— “Wow. You’ve outdone yourself again. This place is so gorgeous, Matsun!” The Duke breathed out a sigh of relief and metaphorically patted himself on the back. He knew Takahiro would love this absolutely stunning garden, but he was unable to quash his worries.

“It would be my pleasure to buy a new gown for you, my lord.” Hanamaki rolled his eyes and sneered,” I told you multiple times not to call me that, Duke of Seijoh.” “My apologies. How about My Love?” Hanamaki rarely hated his beautiful pale skin until moments like this.

It’s not fair that he’s unable to say no to that deep voice who has recently been making repeated appearances in his dreams ever since his mother mentioned about marriage on his 20th birthday months ago. “Fine. But you’re paying for a new one if my pink gown gets ruined in the Forrest.”

It’s anybody’s guess why the Duke, who’s beloved in his own country and so loaded both men and women from the range of 6 to 60 years old would fall at his feet and begged for his affection, decides to spend at least a month every summer at Hanamaki’s “exploring” the place since they first met

in front of him didn’t even live here; the tall and objectively handsome Duke with sweat between his dark, thick brows right now was from a larger kingdom up north that’s much more influential than the tiny piece of land Hanamaki’s dad blindly drew around his large shiny home and called it his own.

#MatsuHanaWeek2025 #hq threadfic Day 1-Royal AU, Summer Love, “It’s always been you” Nothing could’ve dragged Prince Hanamaki out into the sweltering heat except, apparently, the now familiar big hand currently leading him towards “a secret” hideout in his own damn estate. The man speed walking
