I only ever found the ROIR tape of Pal Judy, and have mp3s of some Snatch materials, but wish there was more...

Picked this up from the cheap bin some 30 years ago. Still can't get enough of it. A weirdly perfect pop song, completely unlike PAL JUDY or anything else Ms. Nylon ever did. Love it to bits. #musicsky #musasky

Also should mention that by finishing this book 2026 is now my best reading year (with 31 books) since 1997 (79), surpassing 2014 (30). 1996 was the high water mark with 107 books. But 2026 has had a terrific range in scope and variety, and there's still three months to go...

Finished Tom Wolfe's ELECTRIC KOOL-AID ACID TEST. It illuminates a time, a place and a scene, but so heavily style over substance it slogs. Slick where it should be grubby, facile when you want substance, yet you get a glimpse that would be impossible to sniff out anywhere else. Curio. #BookSky

Remember watching this when it came out on vhs, circa 1981, at age 10. I enjoyed it, and still remember the ending. As for whether I'd STILL enjoy it? Uh, probably.... nostalgia is like heroin. 👀

Van Vogt is something of a guilty pleasure, though I feel no guilt! His plotting was informed by his dreams (or lack of sleep), as he would go to bed and set his alarm to wake up in a few hours time to continue writing! Also, Roger Corman invited him to help write Death Race 2000.

Yeah, I read a few a long time ago, can't really recommend anything. But also Tom Wolfe and Gay Talese (haven't read him yet) at least. I started Electric Kool Aid Acid Test a couple of months ago, need to finish it!

Same! I just every now and then do image searches on the covers. Not nearly as good though! They printed close to 70 volumes and whenever I want to read fantasy fiction I check to see what was printed for good suggestions!
