every time i remember that my middle school PE class had basically a weekly Worlds Biggest Fatty contest where they had everyone on exercise bikes in the gym with heart rate monitors on displaying WITH NAMES on the projector im like holy fuck how was that real and not a terrible nightmare i had

the Good exhaustion of exercise feeling the burn etc was always completely shut down and killed as soon as i was back in my right mind and this horror of feeling completely humiliated in front of my peers took back over. so i think that would be an Extremely good mindset and memory for me to defeat

my just completely miserable school experience with gym and athletics and being yelled at on the track for slowing down when i was past my limit and being more out of shape and slower and non athletic than anybody else made me very afraid of exercise but it’s like oh. i can do this and have fun…
