Purple Planet finale (for now) ended with 36 pc deaths in one session. Each human PC was in charge of a warband and had a Kith PC in all the separated warbands (with some other silliness going on, 7 sets of 7 magic rings and shit yanno.) RIP the God-King captured by @themoonwizard.bsky.social

Been writing irreverant session summaries for the last half-year or so, but I wish I'd been doing this for both of our parallel 3+ year campaigns. The Kithmandos are exploring an ancient research base from the fall of the Purple Planet when there was still *some* hope in the past. Bonus skeleton.

Somewhere underneath Carter Street in Lankhmar. Crazy fun tonight, just 3 players, 3 rooms (2 secret), and 4 hours of paranoia, traps, speaking statues, a crazed priest, evidence of the RFLB, some soul transference prison, and sweet "vengeance" on a guy in a safe room who wanted to be left alone.

Remembered my trees. Lots of patience and knowing this would take forever paid off hugely today. Playtested the OG Warhammer 1e (mass battles *RPG*) Ziggurat of Doom scenario for 3D Roleplay Con in May. Jungle terrain is fully magnetized/modular, worked like a charm. Same with Zig. Good times!

Ya boy is dead tired and very happy to be headed home to see his wife after Gary Con. Running games is fun but the most valuable part is getting to see friends. I wish I had had more social time overall, over did it on the scheduling but was very happy to run DCC Space Dwarves anti-propaganda.

Wrapped up our MERP short run, planning to regroup after Gary & 3D Roleplay Con! Tricked some Orcs out of Harubar Gular with sorcery and guile, immediately got clobbered in the melee and almost died. Explored a chunk of a dungeon and ended the session with a trap and the smell of Elf Bacon sizzling.

Tonight, we finally ended a 9- month emergent RPG debacle in another world as well as a long-held cosmogenic debate between principal scholars regarding cause, effect, perception, and dooms. We ended with a harmonious re-insertion into the superposition of Nehwon's chronostrata envelope.

Saturday we played an RT scenario named Sunstroke w female Marines vs Space Orangutans and Sunday we capped off our Realm of Chaos campaign. I did a lot of sculpting for the RoC campaign - will do some comparison shots eventually. The Ziggurat of Doom calls, May is not far off!

No pics tonight. Jewels of the Carnifex pt2. 3-way party split, riotous fun assymetrically evolving. 7 players. 1v1 PvP during both extant and player-set traps, 1 glorious death as a player was flung bodily abyssward. Nobody trusts anybody now... and they're all very tired (low on luck).

WIP scratch Halflings for Realm of Chaos finale. Walking Heads, Unlucky (revenge curse), D-Cannons, with the "head of a member of your gaming group" - various mutations and rewards accumulated through their Düm Quest. Their poor fellow Billo turned into a Chaos Spawn. The Sixth died along the way.

Live casting surrounded by Lizardmen on the stairs prompts "cleave, for DCC". Deed die (3+ to activate as normal) dictates max number of targets. Roll damage for first target (add Deed and normal bonuses), if it dies continue with next target rolling damage anew until failure to kill or max targets

Do we get to talk stories now? Despite popular knowledge that you never see all 7 of Ninguable's eyes... you do. How many times do you get to see all 7 of Ninguable's eyes and in what stories? I've often wondered about the background unreliable narrator in the Lankhmar books. Fritz himself?

Much Chaos this evening re-running this standout S&S adventure by @harley-stroh.bsky.social (cover by Mullen) - this never fails to produce an amazing session. At the end of ~3 hours they finally got to the dungeon, had an amazing time in the city above and on the way down.

Slowly migrating any semblance of social media usage away from Meta for what should be blindingly obvious reasons. Still writing and running games, breaking rules, distorting RPGs, painting (and sculpting more these days) too many miniatures, and growing meaningful community around me.
