TESTING THE WATERS EPISODE 8: Getting my Salm On Fishwife smoked salmon with sichuan chili crisp. This was outstanding. Nice thick pieces of salmon with just enough smoke flavor that goes perfectly w the chili crisp. Tipped it out on a bowl of rice and my husband & I cleared the whole plate 😋

TESTING THE WATERS EPISODE 7: Smoke Mussels Every Day Another Fangst tin! But it's their Limfjord blue mussels. Soft, lightly smoky, tastes very oceany. Not my favorite by itself, but made for a nice bite with some bread and lemon.

TESTING THE WATERS EPISODE 6: Trout Masc ABC+ Trout in onion relish. This can disappeared FAST. The onion relish is vinegary and oniony with a nice hit of curry flavor, complimenting the trout perfectly. Big meaty fillet, a touch dry on the thicker side, but not unpleasantly so.

TESTING THE WATERS EPISODE 5: Let's Be Brave Today Last two tins were so good that I'm being brave and trying sardines again. Patagonia sardines in coconut curry, in particular. LOOK at the size of these. Big meaty deens in a curry sauce that lets their flavor shine. Really enjoyed this tin!!

TESTING THE WATERS EPISODE 4: M'ollusk Ati Manel octopus in garlic sauce. Once again, didn't get a picture after opening. My apologies. Really nice tin, though. Beautifully tender pieces and tentacles. Not particularly garlicky but the octopus was good enough that I wasn't bothered by that.

TESTING THE WATERS EPISODE 3: Tuna Of The Sea Another Island Creek can today, this time tuna belly in Galician butter. Was not particularly excited about this when the canned tuna smell hit my nostrils, but by bite 3 I was 100% into it. Meaty, tender, delicious and my god that butter...

TESTING THE WATERS EPISODE 2: Jam Out With Your. Yeah. Island Creek littleneck clams with confit garlic and chili in olive oil. I LOVED thisssss. Delicious little things with a nice kick of heat. Wonderful meaty chewy texture, like a wild tortellini. EXCELLENT on toast with a squeeze of lemon.

TESTING THE WATERS EPISODE 1: Do I Suddenly Like Fish? Fangst smoked sardines with heather and chamomile. Smoky, meaty, and paté-like in texture. Tried on their own & on some toasted sourdough with lemon and picked red onion. Very pleasantly salty! Still not a fan of fish but this was tolerable.
