The wreath I made. Please clap.

Wreath with mostly pine needles and another green leaf from a coniferous tree that’s soft. Pine cones are at the top and there are a few strands of olive green and white ribbon.

Revisiting this book since first opening a copy in the kinda South. I’ve since purchased my own copy. Here’s to feeling a little less alone and a little more whole.

A book on a wooden table featuring two Black women embracing each other. The book is entitled “Black. Queer. Southern. Women. AN ORAL HISTORY”
E. Patrick Johnson
author of Sweet Tea: Black Gay Men the South

It’s so nice to get out of the house. Also I’m fine af.

Me, @ogracemay, with a fresh buzz cut, pink lipstick, and a septum ring in a black sweater dress with a low neckline… sitting in the car with a seat belt on looking fine staring into the camera.

an
interest
exploration of embodiment
I forgive myself
keep me
I happened to me
freedom. I
remembered how much I loved to think, how much I loved work. I remembered
I began to believe
would be all right.
adrenaline, progress, hopeful about life.

Okay, I’m sharing my art. [alt text in photo] 9/2/2025 Original text source: Wasted: A Memoir of Anorexia and Bullemia by Marya Hornbacher.

9/2/2025
curiosity yet sated
I stitch together
chaotic long periods of my life erased, events were lost and out of order
a whole person.
don't remember
For better and for worse.
I understood that I
would have to come to some sort of reconciliation with her in order to be whole
I wanted to get better.
self-knowledge
The unknown

Reading this book, Black Queer Southern Women.

Black Queer Southern Women by E Patrick Johnson in my hand. The book cover depicts two black women, one with their hair in twists, the other with a low cut, both with their arms wrapped around each other.

I’ve always loved odd angled photos, whether is me on my patio or a closeup eyeball pic lol. The autistic signs were on the wall..

This poster used to stress me out as a child (who was an ardent rule-follower).

Poster of a cartoon of a white child sitting at a desk with the text:
“EYES
are watching
EARS
are listening
LIPS
are closed
HANDS are still
FEET are quiet”

This is all captured in a Twitter/X thread with a reply that says “anti adhd propaganda.”
