I can finally share the piece I did of Brides of High Hill by @nghivo.bsky.social ! It was such a treat and an honor to be included in this year's @ofszine.bsky.social next to such talented artists 💛

an illustration of cleric chih and pham nhung exploring the estate late at night. above and behind them, buildings loom ominously, all topped by writhing beast sculptures except the one directly behind them. the building directly behind them is lit from within, fox spirits visible through the windows. Chih is holding a lantern looking down at pham nhung and she is looking up behind chih towards the roof beast. in the foreground, glowing carp swim towards them.

illustration of a scene from 'all the white spaces' by @unheimlichmanvr.bsky.social ✨🪖❄️ my piece for @ofszine.bsky.social 🏳️‍⚧️

A digital illustration of a scene from AV Wilkes' 'All the White Spaces'. Jonathan, a trans man and the protagonist, stands in the centre, facing the viewer. He stares ahead in horror, his right hand clutching his throat. From his left eye, strands of bleeding red aurora stretch outwards. These auroras show visions of Jonathan's brothers on the Western Front of the First World War:
- A moustached officer smokes a cigarette in a trench, looking away.
- A soldier is twisted in the remains of barbed wire.
- Three soldiers wear gas masks, emerging from clouds of mustard gas.
- No Man's Land exploded to all hell. A tank is submerged in a shell hole in the distance.
- A skull pressed into the earth.
- A soldier holds a rifle and makes his way across the strait of No Man's Land.

wip of my piece for the @ofszine.bsky.social ! chose a scene from ally wilkes' all the white spaces, one of my favourite reads this year! 💙🌸🤍❄️🪖 @unheimlichmanvr.bsky.social

Screenshot of my procreate screen. It shows Jonathan, the trans man mc of all the white spaces, staring straight ahead at the viewer in horror. His face is divided up in streaks of red aurora within which are snippets of visions of Jonathan's brothers on the ww1 front line.

and finally, a sneak peek of the scene I'm SO EXCITED to be illustrating for @ofszine.bsky.social from Brides of Hill by @nghivo.bsky.social

A snippet of a black and white illustration of Cleric Chih and Pham Nhung outside at night. Chih is holding a lantern in one hand and cradling a calico teapot in the other, looking down at Pham Nhung concernedly. Pham Nhung reaches slightly towards them, looking above and behind Chih's head. Behind them, the shadows of foxes block out part of the windows' glow.
