The NHS is already one of the biggest perpetrators of anti-trans violence in the UK. This new guidance, which refers to trans people using slurs, demands that we be segregated and abused. I’ve said it before: senior NHS managers must be sacked and punished for what they’ve done to us.

So, I'm off to Sweden in September! I'll be there for a few weeks, and need ideas for stuff that can be good to do without having to travel too far 😊 I'll be in the South East of Sweden near the coast 🙌 I will be doing plenty of photography, of course, so anything that works for that is a bonus!

Massive respect for this - I also found myself wanting to move further and further away from the web dev/tech spaces on the internet as everything just felt like it was pushing more and more generative 'AI' that I didn't want and for seemingly very little reason other than to jump on the bandwagon.

Last night, the Scottish Parliament approved a Scottish Statutory Instrument (SSI) to add ‘sex’ as a protected characteristic to Scottish hate crime law. Sounds like a pretty good thing right? We strongly support all steps taken to address the violence and misogyny that women face.

Star Citizen is still not out. Since it was announced, I have: - Joined and left 2 different friend groups - Ended a 7-year relationship (started after SC was announced) - Been promoted twice - CHANGED MY FREAKING GENDER(!!) If past me traveled forward in time there would be a lot of questions...

Linkedin Post from a Pinterest designer reading: "Yesterday I was impacted by the Pinterest layoffs. I was Pinterest's only icon designer and product illustrator.

In his email to the company, the CEO said "we’re doubling down on an AI-forward approach – prioritizing AI-focused roles, teams, and ways of working". I WAS working on AI projects including the Pinterest Assistant that soft-launched in October. If you haven't heard about that feature launch, you can find it on Pinterest's own newsroom or with a Google search.

I was vocal internally about how our users don't want AI slop or features on the platform, how we as employees are feeling uncomfortable and discouraged about AI, and what I wanted from leadership. Last year, I told my manager I was worried about AI-based layoffs. I was told not to worry. At an onsite, we were told that "in the future", we would all be "managers of AIs". That I would be expected to manage some sort of AI employees, rather than craft and design my own work.

Human-made art and design matter. I am never going to stop creating, even if the "home of inspiration" decides that creators are secondary to profits.
