I hate ADHD. The sofa has layers of rubbish, shopping, clean laundry, dirty laundry, unopened post, and I’m pretty sure my passport is in there. Autism keeps the route to the bathroom more.. pristine. ADHD literally won’t let me deal with the Doom Pile. Can I swear on here? 🙈 #adhd #autism #audhd

One thing I find soothing as an autistic person is water. My dream is to be living by the sea, and I finally managed it. View from my living room of the Dublin coast, 2 minute walk for a quick dip in the Irish Sea 🥶

There’s grief that comes with chronic illness. You’re still placed in the life you always had, yet cannot interact with it. It is its own form of torture, separate to the illness itself. I’ve had to learn to live within the condition. But I’ve met new friends along the way, I’m not alone in it all.

I recommend every school should show When the Wind Blows in its entirety. Give students the time to watch it without distractions, then discuss it. Its message about nuclear war, ordinary people and the consequences of political decisions remains as powerful and very relevant today as it did then.
