I have a 5080, but will be going to AMD next time. I’m also giving a side eye to the high power connector.

If I were an employee of 343/Halo Studios, I’d be PISSED.

You’re just finding out now that post Vox Polygon is mainly clickbait? What cave have you been in?!

The Doom movie from 2005 is a guilty pleasure of mine. Who am I to judge?

I was annoyed that Wolverine wasn’t going to get a Steam port, but seeing the reviews, I think I just saved $75.

OffRail1 @offrail1.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

As was expected, the Legend of Zelda Direct was disappointing. No collections, no Twilight Princess, no NSO updates, just some merch, a rebranded Switch 2, the movie preview, and the Ocarina of Time remake.

If planes are called airliners, and ships are called sealiners, why are trains not called landliners?

PlayStation gamers learning the hard way Sony is beholden to its shareholders.

OffRail1 @offrail1.bsky.social · 07/07/2026

Leave the PlayStation socials people alone. They don’t make corporate changes.

Phil Spencer saw the writing on the wall and bailed at the right time.

000

OffRail1 @offrail1.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

Everyone losing their mind about Sony going digital only like this wasn’t the long term plan when streaming took off. The writings been on the wall for a while, and the irony is that Steam may have been a contributor in the decision. The fact that a disc drive became a separate addon was a tell too.

I’m now in agreement that Microsoft should just spin off Xbox as a separate company. It’s become obvious Microsoft hasn’t had a direction for the division since at least 2015.

The Blade game is going the way of the MCU Blade movie.

Oof. I’m glad I was able to snag an Xbox Series X in 2020 before prices went insane.

000

OffRail1 @offrail1.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

I think the reason I have no nostalgia for the Nintendo 64, Majora’s Mask, or Ocarina of Time is because I was in college at the time of all three’s release and missed out on the entire mid to late 90’s gaming scene.

OffRail1 @offrail1.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

Twilight Princess needed a remake before Ocarina of Time. I’m mostly complaining because we likely won’t get a third game in the Breath/Tears timeline.

000

OffRail1 @offrail1.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

My honest reaction to the LoZ Ocarina of Time remake was “Yikes.”

OffRail1 @offrail1.bsky.social · 06/06/2026

A PlatinumGames TMNT Last Ronin game? Sign me up. I wonder if Greg Cipes will be voicing the main character if it stays true to the source material.

If God of War was Dad of Boy, Pragmata is Dad of Girl.

Hot Take: I’ve never been all that impressed with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Mortal Shell 2 is real? I thought it was just an elaborate April Fool’s joke.

One of the very few issues I have with RE9 is Raccoon City. It got hit by a nuke. NOTHING should be working. Buildings should be should still be collapsing in on themselves. The construction cranes should long have toppled over. Unmaintained infrastructure shouldn’t last 30 years.

Having been around for the Nintendo/Sega console wars, watching Xbox go down the same path Sega did is just an amazing case of déjà vu. I wonder if Spencer and Bond leaving is the Dreamcast moment for Xbox as a brand.

I didn’t realize Phil Spencer was old enough to retire.

People being shocked at the closing of Bluepoint Games shouldn’t be. We’re in the make line go up or else end times.

A first person Silent Hill? Well, why not? It turned out pretty well for Resident Evil.

With MGS4 and God of War Trilogy being remade, my steadfast PS3 has earned its retirement.

Late to the party playing Tears of the Kingdom and had a thought. Wouldn’t she be Queen Zelda now?

Everyone complaining about the first screenshots of the The Legend of Zelda movie actors like the story isn’t going to be puddle depth with moments of fan service.

000

OffRail1 @offrail1.bsky.social · 17/11/2025

Just because The Game Awards didn’t nominate the game you thought should be nominated, just remember it’s basically a Geoff Keighley ego trip.

Spoilers for Dispatch: Can’t believe Invisgal/Courtney was getting two paychecks and still couldn’t make it in L.A. The most realistic part of Dispatch.

010

OffRail1 @offrail1.bsky.social · 13/11/2025

Ad Hoc is going to have a real issue on their hands with Dispatch Season 2 if it happens. They will have to pick a canon ending, or just ignore the whole of Season 1. Either way people are gonna be mad.

Adhoc is missing a trick if they don’t create a Beef plushie from Dispatch.

My prediction: PlayStation and Xbox will eventually exit the hardware market and move to software publishing, much like Sega did.

Think I’ll hang out here for a little bit. It’s nice here.

OffRail1 @offrail1.bsky.social · 16/06/2025

Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom feel like completely different games on the Switch 2. No more slowdown, only some noticeable pop in at the Rito region.
