Run note for (a few months of summer and) September 2026. www.officeofwilson.com/run-note-for...
A still stretch of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal on an early autumn morning. Tall trees, mostly green with the first yellow and orange leaves, line the far bank and are mirrored in the calm green water. A pale lilac sky shows through the branches. In the foreground on the right is the bow of a navy blue narrowboat named Skye, with two knitted dolls sitting in the front window, one with dark hair and one with ginger hair.

At Agile Cambridge today I saw a Barbara Hepworth sculpture on the venue's lawn. Got me thinking about Hepworth's approaches to sculpting over her career, the chipping and the craft. www.officeofwilson.com/the-chipping...

This probably doesn’t help. The last time I was there - April - I went to the Anchor pub for a pint and some food.

Last day of the Flower Carpet in Bradford centre. Bit of a greyer day for a visit but still vibrant. More info: www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Busy day today, but still managed to get some R ‘n R in Dublin city centre this afternoon — with unexpected Aussie Rules appearance in a museum’s interactive display.

A quick week note for last week: Three slow 5ks, Freo into a grand final from 28 down, Lloyd Griffith in Knaresborough, Town 2-0 Crawley, a tomato harvest, Ghosts. And the usual sneaky bit of work: community nursing lives in visits, not appointments. www.officeofwilson.com/week-note-we...

Fun night, popping over to Knaresborough to see a WIP for buggerlugs’ new show. The Frazer Theatre is a neat little venue too. The number of people that called him Lloyd Griffiths lol
Lloyd Griffith looking confused. Standard.

A kilo of freshly ground coffee from the Village General Store in Saltaire, for my office at Assembly in Bradford. Good stuff this. Might stretch to lasting a month.

Glad I’m back running*. A chance to add Worcester & Birmingham Canal in Birmingham to my treks while I’m here, and visit the Gas Street Basin. #infrastructure etc etc (Also reminded running on travels means more kit to lug about.)

Bit blokier than last night but good gig. Also got the feeling a lot of people there haven’t heard any of their music since 1998. 😞 (I was fine with the sound mix, but I’m appreciative of issues than some.)

Birmingham. Smashing! Not been here for a proper walk around for *years*. A city of proper reform over time (love the Attwood and Watt statues), none of that gammon/blokey use of Reform bullshit. (Plus some proper good pubs.)

I mean putting bank and payments details in bold is one thing, Manchester Airport Group — but those other four things together seem pretty risky… What even are “appropriate actions to deal with this situation”.
We’re contacting you about a recent cyber security incident involving customer data.

Our investigation has identified that some of your personal information relating to airport car parking, lounge, Fast Track bookings and on-airport WIFI sign-ups has been accessed by an unauthorised third party.

Neither MAG nor the system accessed hold customers’ bank or payment details. The data that has been accessed includes customers’ email addresses, phone numbers, vehicle registrations and postcodes.

We took immediate action to secure the affected system and are working with cyber security specialists and the relevant authorities. We would like to reassure you that Manchester Airport Group takes the security of customer information extremely seriously and we are taking appropriate actions to manage the incident.

Pre-commute laundry sort. The wonderful wife is back from her week in Denver hyping her workplace. She’s come back with these T-shirts from her work. Just got Grace Jones stuck in my head now. What’s there to say?
