There are only a couple of streams this week! Don't miss The Living Tombstone this Thursday in San Jose (partially because I'm one of the openers)!

This week I'm babying my voice-- as much vocal rest as I can, two streams at most before Thursday, low-acid diet, plenty of saline nebulizing, whatever it takes to get it ready for the show!

It's nice to share some positive news again! On Oct 10, 12:30PM PDT, I'm releasing a eurobeat remix of Bao's "52 Hearts"! It's my "Odyssey's Heartbeat Remix". I was glad to finish something while I was sick, and hope you all enjoy it. Catch the premiere here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=__rV...

Just as I'm recovering from an illness that's kept me from recording/streaming/doing my work for a month, I've been hit with an awful car repair bill. With more bills on the horizon before my usual income sources kick in, I sadly must ask for help.

Getting my car back from the shop today. A little worried, since I’m not 100% sure what the tab will be.

Odyssey Eurobeat 🍓 TLT OCT 8 @odysseyeurobeat.com · 29/09/2026

My humidifier just arrived, this should help quite a bit with the (possible?) bronchitis AND keeping my vocal cords hydrated in general! Also now my room smells like lavender~

Odyssey Eurobeat 🍓 TLT OCT 8 @odysseyeurobeat.com · 29/09/2026

I should clarify, I also wish the AI use for visuals goes away. Forever. Immediately. But for now I'm confident in the fact that my musical heroes make their own music, we just need to fix the other bits.

050

Odyssey Eurobeat 🍓 TLT OCT 8 @odysseyeurobeat.com · 29/09/2026

But if I don't say ANYTHING about AI's increased prevalence in eurobeat, to those who may yet still stand out above it, then I cannot complain once the genre to which I've devoted most of my life is overrun with shameless slop.

040

Odyssey Eurobeat 🍓 TLT OCT 8 @odysseyeurobeat.com · 29/09/2026

The research here is for the third of three videos I plan to make, with the first two being tutorials. I'd like to say more than "no no, bad bad" to my heroes-- I'd like to add to it, "do THIS instead, this works better". It's more constructive and offers the chance to choose to do better.

140

Odyssey Eurobeat 🍓 TLT OCT 8 @odysseyeurobeat.com · 29/09/2026

[...] that at this time, no Eurobeat producers/artists in the legitimate side of things has been found with generative content in their music. It's been in the visuals in SPADES, but (and I hope it stays this way) not in the actual music itself.

140

Odyssey Eurobeat 🍓 TLT OCT 8 @odysseyeurobeat.com · 29/09/2026

One thing I noticed in my search, was that only ONE of the channels seemed to be related to existing actual artists-- the channel was named Denharrow, which is the name of an actual Italo Disco star. The rest weren't from legitimate sources in the first place. I should also note[...]

120

Odyssey Eurobeat 🍓 TLT OCT 8 @odysseyeurobeat.com · 29/09/2026

THIS IS NOT ACCURATE! It should be 84, not 87, my apologies. The first 4 channels I counted are part of a network with frequent "covers" of eurobeat songs, but of those four, only one uploaded eurobeat-related content in the last week as of 5:23 AM. Apologies for the miscount.

171

Odyssey Eurobeat 🍓 TLT OCT 8 @odysseyeurobeat.com · 29/09/2026

This is not song uploads-- many channels had multiple uploads within the last week. Some were uploaded within the hour I searched. This is channels. 87 channels. The number of AI-generated eurobeat videos uploaded in that time is absolutely higher than that.

150

Odyssey Eurobeat 🍓 TLT OCT 8 @odysseyeurobeat.com · 29/09/2026

I've been doing research for the next few videos this morning, since I woke up from stress. I decided to count how many individual YouTube channels have uploaded AI-generated eurobeat (including AI-gen thumbnails & MVs) in the last week, as of 5:23 am today. The number is 87.

No stream today, tomorrow, or Wednesday. I've noticed improvement in my voice the last couple of days, but my doctor is wondering if what I have might be serious. She's offering antibiotics or a chest X-ray to see what the situation might be. We'll see how the next couple of days go.

It still hurts to speak or swallow today, and I don't see it improving in time before I was going to start my break next week anyway, so… I'm starting my break early. I'm sorry to be away for THIS long, but I fear permanent damage if I don't take better care of myself now.
