Which is why Schmitt should have been made to apologize to Smith then. Schmitt and the repugs are acting and speaking now like what he said was correct.
One of the other Senators should have called on Schmitt to retract his accusation. Smith should bring a lawsuit if he doesn't issue a retraction.
