I'm not an economist by any stretch but I highly doubt it will help. If spending was going to help our situation then the $32,000,000,000,000 in new debt since 2006(20 years ago) would have solved all our problems.

Bravo! I have been warning people since the SCOTUS allowed it. There was a similar policy in the 1970s that when the public heard about it they ended it. Now days people are way to distracted and many have never heard of Citizens United. It is the cancer to Democracies everywhere, Citizens United.

The G7 countries are releasing 100mil barrels of strategic diesel rrserves over the next year to buffer the gap. The war in russia/Ukraine coupled with iran and the straight(s) closures reduces supply which increases costs. (Supply and demand) I maybe wrong but the pieces fit together well.

I called into a state wide NPR station and was able to ask an Independent running for governor about Citizens United and draining the swamp. Yes, its a national and not state but bringing it up was the point.People need to understand its why we have a Trump 2.0. Quid-pro-quo system that hurts people

Remember when he gave out "stimulus checks" right before Joe took over? Let's pretend there's a disel shortage now. Now give every Adult $5K, wtf do people think will happen? People will spend it, more diesel consumption and BOOM we're in lines at fueling stations because there isn't enough fuel..

The price reflects Supply and Demand. A big reason diesel is at $7 isn't just greedy oil companies its because we are quickly running out. The lower the price the more people drive, vice versa. $5k? People can afford goods shipped on trucks. Diesel will hit Cali prices within a month across USA.

He talks about giving people 5k checks but has zero idea what that would do to things like inflation or supply chains. The last time he cut checks during Covid shortages we had massive inflation a year later when Joe took over. He literally came into office, inflation spiked and Rs blamed Joe.

He is right. I imagine he will try martial law for a week or until the courts step in after the midterms, maybe right before. Even at that, most courts are okay with him destroying this country. They are, afterall, paid by the same people who pays him. Will Republicans be okay with that? We'll see.
