Land. Which won the Osamu Cultural prize in 2021 over Frieren is getting an English Omnibus and I couldn't be happier. This is one of the best mangas to come out in the last decade 💜🥹😭 #manga

Adabana is the most unsettling manga I've ever read. The rage and empathy it elicited from me was draining. A murder mystery with twists drawn euphorically lucent with such command and power in the story and the form. NON, a woman, drew difficult scenes without a problematic gaze. TW: SA, murder

Onyx Storm sold 2.7 million copies in one week. This broke records. No, it eviscerated records. Bookthreads That's your motivation. Ppl still read. Novels aren't dead. Hot steamy sexy time and dragons are 🤌🏼 #rebeccayaros #booksky #onyxstorm

If the trope of My Happy Marriage is how can we treat Miyu, this sweet quiet innocent girl, like trash shit every sz, it's going to get exhausting. #myhappymarriage #anime

The Poppy War trilogy is perhaps my fav fantasy trilogy of all time. In many ways Rin is what Eren (AoT)should've been. A reluctant turned necessary hero in a time where morality is a privileged convention. And a dying one. Rin elicits our empathy, sorrow, anger, and remorse. #booksky #rfkuang #aot

Having Sakamoto Days and Honey Lemon Soda as new animes in the same season is perfect. It's a nice sample size of what anime can offer. A great action Shonen with charming characters and a delightful, cute, angsty and emotional Shojo. And really both put me in great moods. #anime #sakamotodays

Mists of Avalon made me feel seen. Then Marion Zimmer Bradley & husband were exposed as pedophiles. I felt I wasn't able to trust literature at all, I was betrayed by the genre that lured me in when I was searching for a safe place. Many are experiencing that with Gaiman now and it breaks my heart

Amidst the anime that is being released this yr, the news that just dropped that CLAMP is returning from a 10 yr hiatus to resume one of the greatest manga collectives of all time--Xxxholic (Rei), makes me care for none of it. This alone, is enough to make me excited for 5 yrs. Im weeping 😭 #CLAMP

Depends on the day you ask. I'm older now, so the nihilism of the series or EoE isn't romantic or particular for me as it was when I was younger. I suppose I mirror Annos development and take a more hopeful resolution with age. So today-the rebuilds

I would. And I agree with you both, I don't think it's an isekai or if it is it gives off 6 Characters in Search of an Author vibes. Which would be cool.

Mythago Wood by Robert Holdstock might be one of the greatest fantasy novels nobody has heard about or read yet won the world fantasy award. Holdstock is a writer's writer. His sentences are silk and his imagery is whimsical. And the story is just beautiful 💜😭 #booksky #books #fantasy #fantasybooks

The Locked Tomb series is clever, written with verve and adrenaline, and many won't like it because it says fuck you to plot and world building. It might be my new favorite series 💜 #booksky #gideontheninth #lockedtomb #fantasy #fantasybooks #scifi
