You can check assorted economists. They argue for and against tariffs, usually depending on their own political bias. As for Trump, I'm not sure. It would be hard to argue that he's not an expert businessman though, which is a point in his favor... You know? If we're discussing business matters.

That we're (by-and-large) self-validating, and that a "good job" just comes off as condescending. A common theme that I see with extroverts is an insatiable need for external validation. Looks painful.

And here we are, going through all this trouble to create fusion reactors, when we have the solar system's *largest* fusion reactor rising in the sky every morning. I can't speak to anyone's motivations, but it's criminally wasteful no matter how you slice it.

If I have a physics question, I'll ask a physicist. If I have a biology question, I'll ask a biologist. If I have a money question, I'll ask a businessman, an accountant, or an economist. I probably won't ask social media.

It's not about guts. You listen to a businessman on matters of money, because ignoring them would be like ignoring a physicist while they're talking about physics. If there can be said to be an expert in making money, you're looking at it. Provisionally. Doesn't mean he's right...

I'm... At a loss. I've got nothing to say that is likely to improve your mood... This is why I'm (in general) not paying attention. People act like that's a fault, but I don't feel like this. Bleak, my dude. That's not a criticism. Somebody's got to stress it. It just won't be me.
